Christain has been one of the best punt returners in football. Its an area that many on this board complained that the Cards really needed to address.

He did mention that. Said he and Rosen talked about playing together at UCLA.

This kid had so many connections with the Cardinals franchise already. I can't remember a similar pick having that many connections with the Cardinals. It's really cool and exciting.
Deuce Lutui was the last one

DJ, Larry and Fitz the new big-3!
Add Rosen and the Cards' offensive core is 3, 11, 13, and 31 - all ones and threes. Still room for McCrane to adopt #1 since his college #16 isn't legal for a kicker in the NFL, and Edmonds to wear #33 since his college #22 is already taken by Logan! :-D

I think the Kirk pick addressed the issue of: "Life after Fitz."

I think this is a very premature statement. Kirk could go to several probowls and not be near as good as Fitz. I guess you are saying that Kirk will be a legit #1 WR in this league and I can get behind that thought.

4) Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals (No. 47 overall): Kirk was the most impressive prospect I met with leading up to the 2018 draft. Talking to him was like talking to a 10-year NFL veteran. He's mature beyond his years and he has a very specific plan on how to become a top-flight professional receiver. Larry Fitzgerald will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, but his career is winding down. Once he decides to retire, Kirk can take over the leadership role for that receiving corps. This is a perfect fit.

He is very polished in an interview. He sounds like someone born to be a true pro athlete.

I love the story about Christian Kirk being in 4th grade (about 10 years old), having Kurt Warner's son on his youth football team, and Warner and Fitz watching them play, giving them pointers, coaching, etc. Great stuff!

I think Logan is the kick returner and Kirk is the punt returner.
Please please please! Not sure why BA even wasted his time putting PP back there when he’s shown zero interest in returning punts since his rookie year

Guys, what am I missing here? His receiving totals went down every year he was in college. 52 yards against Alabama. 62 yards against Florida. Went off against an awful Arkansas team? Congrats.

Actually his TD’s and YPC went up. you specifically have said both stats are more important then just touches.

It was one of your arguments for not elevating Q so high...

The kid is an impressive talent and put up good numbers in the SEC with garbage at QB.

His YPC as a Jr was .3 greater than his freshman year. 4 TDS as a JR against the SEC, half of which were against Arkansas.

What do you see?

Very little separation against college corners. Very little ability to break tackles. I am not great at projecting WRs—I hated Andre Johnson coming out. But this enthusiasm makes little sense to me.

I see a playmaker kerouac9. And I couldn't care less about what you think of him. Eat a sandwich or have a bowl of soup.

You have as many ******* takes on players as anyone else on this board.

So pretty much every expert who had him as one of the top 3 WR in the draft are 100% wrong and you know more than they do. Tell me, how are you not working in someone's scouting department? I'm asking this in earnest because I find it amazing how everyone in the business of football is wrong and you're right. With your credentials you should be working on someone scouting department. I'm not trying to be mean here and I respect you, just stating a fact. You're entitled to your opinion but the way you present your arguments is seems your opinions are more than opinion but pure gospel.

I’m presenting facts. Nothing I’ve written is an opinion. That Kirk might have been a consensus top 5 prospect in a weak WR class doesn’t impress me much.

You can get huffy about it if you like; the appeal to authority impressed me about as much as Kirk’s Alabama tape.

the last two years his QBs were Trevor Knight, whose Qb prowess we got to witness in last year's pre-season, and, in 2017 someone named Kellen Mond -- who completed 51% of his passes.
