Typically you don't want your QB to have a Wonderlic below 25. Vince Young scored a 16, so...13 is a not a ringing endorsement...

Lamar Jackson

Mike Jurecki Retweeted Rick Grimes

He hasn't hired an agent, didn't interview very well at the combine, and clearly didn't prep for test.

Mike Jurecki added,

@mikejurecki Lamar Jackson scored a 13 on the wonderlic...ouch!!.. to play that position... not good.. buyer beware

Cam and Vick at least scored a 20 and those two are compared the most to Lamar.

Could be some guys don`t test well. They just play well on the field. That doesn`t mean they are dumb by any means. It just fits some people agenda.

One would think for an accurate correlation to the position, speed in processing information is a main aspect... does anyone know how long they have to take the Wonderlic

FWIW in a column for Sports Illustrated, Edward Krupat, PhD, wrote, that the Wonderlic is "an outdated way of thinking about intelligence when it comes to predicting performance on the football field."

Yikes. More and more information against Lamar.

I think someone is going to get a solid pick in the 2nd or even 3rd round, but now he's plummeting. I'm quietly jumping off the "draft Jackson at 15" bandwagon.

If Jackson falls till the 2nd round it just shows how stupid some GMs are. Then again somebody did draft Manzeil in round 1 and he was a POS and not that great as a QB.

:grabs::grabs::grabs:

but news from Miami via sports talk radio. Lamar Jackson has been working out at the Dolphins facility as a courtesy. Sounds good.... except they have basically put him on ignore while wining and dining Baker Mayfield.

PS. True that Lamar hired his mother as his agent. How is that same relationship working out for Eli Apple and his mother Annie?

Maybe the switch to WR suggestion has some merit

Speaking of popcorn, I believe Terrell Owens only scored a 6 on the Wonderlic...

Ability to process info quickly is key to being a good QB.

Hopefully Jackson has football smarts. He’s said to be a hard worker and student of the game but that was also at Louisville where most the team probably misspells Louisville.

I don’t think the test is the be all end all telling sign of who succeeds/fails but I do think the test plays a part.

13 is pretty damn alarming though!

I wasn’t high on the kid (especially as a 1st) but this sure didn’t help my personal thoughts or scouts thoughts about him though.

Imo I still wouldn’t touch Lamar until round 2
