Most other sources have report the 2019 Mavericks pick is protected but the last tweet is the only one that lists the details but the person doing so is a nobody. Yahoo, Woj, and Lowe all said protected future pick initially when announcing the trade.

Yeah, apparently the actual NBA teams in the draft didn't think Doncic was quite the sure thing that his fan boy cult did. It's not like Dallas gave up a king's ransom for him. Posters at various Suns boards were proposing giving up Jackson, Warren, Chriss/Bender, and every draft pick we own for the next four years.
