Four Celtics players finished with 20 points today.

It's the first time four Celtics players had 20 in a playoff game since April 28, 1991 when Reggie Lewis, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish and Brian Shaw all finished with 20
Milwaukee looks as if they feel they are every bit as good as Boston. Quite a battle today. Too bad the ref didn't allow them to play it out at the end. Great game otherwise.

What? Giannis should’ve fouled out twice. Those were blatant over the backs.

I haven't watched the Pacers much this year outside of their games vs the Suns but I have a lot of family from Indiana and they've all been sold on Oladipo's rise to stardom. Most have said he's a better star to build around than Paul George and while his stats have been good he's still an undersized SG that doesn't have a great outside shot. Seeing them beat the Cavs today makes me think I need to give them more credit when they're talking basketball in the future. I know it's just 1 game but I didn't buy the Oladipo > George argument. I've liked Oladipo since he came into the league but thought he showed that he'd only be a good starter at best during his time in OKC. He never did much in Orlando and was just ok for the Thunder but he's finally reaching his full potential with his own team now, probably exceeding it in reality.

It would have to be considered a successful season for them if they can take the Cavs to 6 or 7 games and a series win would be huge. I can't see Lebron staying in Cleveland after a 1st round loss either. I don't know if that would be a positive thing for the NBA for Lebron to leave Cleveland though. If he goes to Philly then they're the Warriors of the East until he retires and they'd still have a big 3 with Simmons, Embiid, and Fultz. I could see Embiid and Fultz getting better with Lebron but I'm not sure he'd elevate Simmons game. Since it's been reported that Simmons and Lebron are good friends off the court I think they'd try to make it work. Lebron might even excel on a team like the Sixers where he could be more of a scorer instead of needing to do a bit of everything for them to succeed.

Its hard to believe that Oladipo has been traded twice.

Thompson sucks. Cavs are a significantly worse team with him on the court.

Osman, Korver and even Zizic are the ones who should've played especially over guys like Jeff Green.

For the all Mike D'Antoni criticism about defense, he came up with an excellent game plan to shut down Karl Anthony Towns in game 1. Houston took away all driving lanes, fronted him and had timely double teams the whole night to frustrate the crap out of him.

Watch D'Antoni succeed has to be eating Robert Sarver up.

I didn't watch that game but the Inside the NBA crew were tearing up the Timberwolves for not feeding KAT more. He only took 9 shots the entire 40 minutes he was on the floor. Was it the Rockets that kept him from getting shots or was it his teammates, or a mixture of both? I ask because your take seems to be different than that crew.

Why? Our best chance at a title was ruined by D’Antoni and injuries, not Sarver.

Maybe he’s bummed a little, but I seriously doubt he’s losing any sleep.

I think Kerr winning a title probably bothered Sarver more than the prospect of D'Antoni winning one since Kerr was a part of the initial investment group, was Sarver's adviser, and failed as a GM for the Suns.

It was both. Rockets took away a lot of his bread and butter plays.

More @ESPNNBA ratings from the weekend: Sunday's #Cavaliers @Pacers #NBAPlayoffs Game 1 on @ABCNetwork generated a 4.4 metered market rating, up 52 percent from Cavs-Pacers Game 1 last year on ABC (2.9). Yesterday's game was even with Golden State-Portland Sunday game last year.

Failed as a GM for the Suns? He left right after taking us to the WCF within 2 games of going to the Finals.

Not sure Kerr should get the credit for that. Bryan Colangelo put that team together. Kerr is a much better coach than he was a GM, although he probably would have become a better GM in time. He was a horrible negotiator.

Here is a list of what Kerr did as a Suns GM. Judge it as you will.

No he didn't. Kerr completely rebuilt that team around Steve and Amare. A Steve/Amare team that for the previous two seasons didn't get out of the first round and the next year didn't even make the playoffs. BC didn't get Jason Richardson, Dudley (both starters), draft Lopez (who was a solid starter on the 2010 team) and finally got us a bench drafting Dragic, getting Frye, Lou Amundsen who all worked great together as the bench mob.

He inherited a team that had been to the WCF twice in the previous 3 years and won over 60 games twice also. His first move as GM was making one of the worst trades in franchise history, sending KT to Seattle/Oklahoma City with 2 picks for nothing. Kerr has admitted that was his doing and not Sarver's fault also. He has no reason to lie about that and take responsibility since he's with the Warriors now but he owns up to that being his fault. His first year as GM he also traded away our 3rd best player in Marion for a 35 year old Shaq. That was supposed to help get past San Antonio in the playoffs but they only made the playoffs that first year with Shaq when he was acquired around the trade deadline. The Suns lost to the Spurs in 5 games that year in the first round so Shaq didn't help do what he was brought in to do.

Kerr's 2nd year he let D'Antoni leave without any compensation despite D'Antoni being under contract to the Suns. He hired Terry Porter to coach, which was supposed to help with team defense but instead it killed the offense by trying to run things through Shaq rather than Nash and playing a slowed down halfcourt style. He was fired 51 games into that season, which wasn't soon enough to turn them into a playoff team with the new coach. They missed the playoffs entirely, which proved the Porter hiring was bad and the Shaq experiment was a failure. Shaq was traded away for the 60th pick in the 2010 draft that offseason. The Suns waived the 2 players they got from Cleveland in that trade, Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. Wallace was still a decent player but the Suns didn't give him a serious look since he was waived right away and resigned with Detroit where he started in 67 of the 69 games he played in. The Suns could have used an interior defender and rebounder like him that year also.

So that 3rd year the Suns did make a run to the WCF but that was mainly because of Kerr undoing the mistakes he made, hiring Porter, trading away Marion, and bringing in Shaq. He had Gentry as the head coach, who was a lead assistant with D'Antoni and adopted a version of his system only with more focus on defense and he also used a 10 man rotation instead of 7. That team overachieved, it wasn't really Kerr's construction of the roster that made them a contender. That was his best year and also his last and it was an average job by him at best. Since he made the mess he cleaned up I don't think you can view that as a great job by him.

Warriors say Andre Iguodala (left thigh contusion) is available to play in tonight's Game 2 vs. the Spurs.
