No thank you. Dude is already the 5th highest paid QB in the league. He is going to demand Luck, Stafford, Carr money and IMO he is not in that tier.
LOL, Palmer is in Top 5 salaries this year and his salary if he comes back is ridiculous too. Would much rather have Cousins at more money than another year of Palmer.
Tyrod Taylor may also be available, I think next year is an option year. He's looking good too this year (better than Palmer).
I think ARZ has a legit shot at Rosen they way they've been playing. The only thing is, is Rosen going to get better or is the QB you see now (mistake prone) what you are going to get or worse in the NFL?

If he can't stay healthy, then why would we want him?

I don't believe i said we did?? You asked why they would/could be interested in trading him I answered...

Had a major injury in 2015 too only played in 7 games

Looks like cartilage tears and muscle tears.

Its football, I wouldnt be concerned about his injury history personally.

I’m really sick of the retreading method. I pray we draft a QB in the 1st whether it’s Rosen or Lamar.

Because he can't stay healthy would be my #1 reason... They may have the #1 pick again in a deep QBOF draft...

I would think more along the lines of they need to rebuild that team, he is the only thing that has a huge trade value. I asked in a thread not to long ago would you trade 2 numbers 1's for Luck? I would...they would then have two first round picks in the next two drafts to rebuild the team, and could still get another QB with the pick they'll have this year.

so, amended, you want to trade broken down LT in the sunset of his career, a second round pick and an unproven (didn't make the starting team) linebacker with coverage questions for a 1st round, universally acclaimed QB pick who has been injured because that organisation hasn't yet addressed keeping him upright (O-line) and you think they will entertain THAT trade ? throw in PP and you might have something, there is nothing else we have they would want.... or maybe you mistyped and you meant trade all that for Brissett ? that would make sense (sort of)

Sorry I forgot to write MOST SARCASTIC POST EVER!! I thought it was pretty obvious?!!

Considering how the first round picks in the Arians era have panned out, I don't think trading two #1's for Luck is a bad idea. Heck the best pick they've selected since he got here was a third round guy who they weren't even going to select if Amir Abdullah would have been available.

I hoped my trade offer would come along as sarcastic ... thx for reading it so

Even if I searched for valuable "points" why, only a morron would trade Luck if healthy.

Think about this in reverse. If we had a franchise QB (arguably a top 5 QB)...why would we trade him even for 2 #1's?

I would love to have Luck but it's not going to happen.

Then I must apologize for my post, but, let's face it, around here you never can tell without a 'sarcasm' emoticon. I've seen far more bizarre proposals than that, that appeared to be serious.

sad to say, the us 'trading 2 #1s" actually makes sense if you can get a guy proven to be worth at least one of those #1s. Our #1s are just squandered anyway.

Drew Brees notwithstanding, an injury to the throwing shoulder requiring surgery and Luck having just started light practicing this week seems too scary to take a chance on to me. Plus, his contract is HUGE to take on. If Indy is interested in trading Luck I would pass on that "opportunity".

I doubt Luck is going anywhere anyway.

We will probably win enough games to be out of the picking for a QB in the top 10.

We actually wouldn't be on the hook for that huge contract. Technically the Colts would be responsible for 22 million of it if we traded for him next off-season as a dead-cap hit. However it of course could be structured in a way that the Cards would be responsible for some or take on some of it. Essentially, it would be a 4 year deal with AZ at 79.325 million with no guarantees. Basically 19.8m a year, and two firsts. (We were already likely going to use one anyways so it's really an extra one at this point)

The Colts would get 2 (1st round picks) and save 80m off what they could have paid if he stayed the remaining 4 years.

But I don't really care to have luck so it's moot imo.

Those picks though do not carry in value when trying to move up in the top ten... they are chump change

not talking about just compensatory picks...we have what??....9-10 picks this year?? and in all honesty if we see a guy we really think can be the guy for the next 15 years... then we have picks next year too.
the position is too important. teams with guys like Brady, Rodgers, Elway..... they always have a chance to win every game... teams with guys like stanton do not...

keep in mind... nobody in the nfl knew Tom Brady was the GOAT until AFTER he was drafted....way late, yes... but you have to go get the guy you have faith in

I much rather go by way of the draft versus another retread QB. Hell, I would even be okay with one QB in the 1st round and even another QB in the 4th round if you think there is one there that has potential. Maybe even a third rounder. Cut ties with Palmer and Stanton and keep Gabbert for one season while you develop the other two. Best case is you end up with a starter and a backup in one draft.

I doubt it. I’m not sure why people keep saying this like we haven’t looked mostly awful this season.
