Thought I'd make a thread for G-League stuff, all of the call ups and assignments plus any big games that get mentioned. That way we don't clutter things too much with threads for guys each time they get called up or down.
Way to go. Use this tool to develop these super young players. Maybe the league should have a minimum age for the NBA big league--say 20. Others can be drafted and paid big, but they have to play in the G-league until their 20th bday. Or maybe the big league team would be allowed to just have one player under 20 years old on its game roster. Just an off-hand idea. And to kick it all off, Jalen Lecque has been assigned to the NAZ Suns. I believe this means he'll take part in their training camp because their season is a week away still.

I might have to make the trip up to see the alien play this season

Have you made the trip before?
Has anyone here gone to check out a game in Prescott Valley? I'm debating on it but I'd like to hear what it's like.
Be sure to visit historic Whiskey Row while you're there.I haven't but I drive by it frequently. The area around the arena has a lot of food options and hotels or you can just stay up in Prescott

They call Prescott (pronounced Press-kit) Christmas City
because it keeps lights on all year round in the plaza.

Lecque had 21 on 7-10 from the field and 3-4 from 3 with 2 steals. If stat lines like that become a regularity we could have found a steal of a rookie free agent signing.
I lived in Prescott during part of my college years. I go up about every 2-3 months
Next trip is the annual Christmas Parade
Then why not follow it with a drive through SedonaThe drive to Presskit sucks.

“Dropping dimes” - funny. Two assists. Lecque had a pretty poor game as well.Lecque and Harper getting a chance to impress.

Jalen Lecque not having fast start in 1st quarter, but fellow rookie Jared Harper is.
2-way player hitting 3s, getting to rim, dropping dimes.
In attendance: #Suns GM James Jones, forward Mikal Bridges, assistant Randy Ayers and director of player development Riccardo Fois.

I figured it’s just a step up from summer league in terms of organization, but Harper isn’t ever been known as a distributor. In the G-League games I've explored assists seem to be at a premium. I thought the idea was team play but maybe it's still a lot of every man for himself. Maybe things will change in the second half.
Oh, that’s half. Lol. I thought maybe they played two halves instead of quarters. Lol. Okay 24 in a half is impressive, regardless of only “dropping” two “dimes.”Duane RankinVerified account @DuaneRankin 11m11 minutes ago
#Suns two-way player, rookie Jared Harper closing out half with 3 at buzzer as he has 24 points in leading Northern Arizona Suns to a 69-55 halftime lead.
Rookie Jalen Lecque has 6 points, both on 3s, 2 assists. Shooting 2-of-7 FGs. Coming up empty vs. contact around rim.
