L2MR says Paul should’ve been called for jumpball foul and should’ve called charging by Harden late in OT.

I wonder if Harden just wants them to have a “fair shot.” :D

I have seen several people point out both of these now on tv.

I have to admit I had no idea they could call a foul on a jump ball I just thought it was a violation and Warriors ball not a foul.

There's no way in hell they're going to call a foul with 1.5 seconds left in a tie game for a jump ball violation of course. I am surprised the review doesn't say anything about the 3 uncalled jumping early violations on Paul, any one of which could have given the Warriors the ball frontcourt out of bounds.

They should. It was a huge talking point all season from the referees, their supervisors and league officials. The goal was to call every game the same from the opening tip till the final second. They stressed over and over that a play in the final seconds of the last playoff game should be officiated exactly the same as it is in the opening moments of games in November. And I agree. I've always hated that stupid "let the players decide". Call it by the rules so that the players CAN decide the outcome. Inconsistency is the worst possible approach to refereeing.

As for not calling the early jump violations, I think it's because they have so much discretion there. They can call a delay of game, they can just re-jump or if they feel the player is trying to "cheat" they can call a technical (I believe). But once the contact is made, that's a foul and absolutely should have been called IMO.

Technically I agree but in practice if they call a foul on Paul there and Klay wins the game with FT's the NBA will never hear the end of it. You want the Warriors in the finals, it's fixed etc. I am fine with it not being called a foul. I will say if Paul does that again they better call it, Draymond got called for it against the Cavs in the finals, I actually looked it up and they did in fact call a personal foul on him. so there is precedent although not at the same point in the game

Moral of the story is **** happens, don’t put your team in a position for refs to determine outcome.

But most games come down to the last couple of minutes with the score close. So how many points does a team need to win by in order to prevent the officials from "determining the outcome"? Six? Ten? Should we just agree that, if a team fails to win by double digits, they have no claim regarding the outcome of a closer game?

Clear use of the word some should clearly signify I don’t think it’s everyone.

I'm not actively involved in cheering for any team in the Rockets-Warriors playoff series but I could never root for the Warriors with the Suns close ties to the Rockets. The Rockets are also the underdog.

Draymond Green deserves the criticism he gets.

Raptors got home court back with their win in Philly. It was looking grim going into game 4, since I'd guess the slim chances of Kawhi re-signing in Toronto decrease with the earlier they exit the playoffs (assuming his decision isn't made already). And if Kawhi goes, the immediate concern is Ujiri leaving. Thankfully for Raps fans Siakam is turning into a star. Lowry has one more year on his deal and won't be around much longer, either. (Not that many fans will be sad to see him go after his playoff disappointments.)

I now can’t stand the rockets or the warriors the same way I used to hate spurs. Two supremely talented teams that play dirty or fake basketball and bitch, bitch, bitch. So awfully lame.
I completely, totally agree with this.

I know it's futile, but I'll be rooting for either Denver or Portland in the WCF. Imagine having a Finals that's not dominated by the relationship between the players and the officials!

No Pascal Siakam on the injury report for Game 5, just as he promised. OG still out post appendectomy and Chris Boucher is questionable with back spasms.

Siakam didn't do much for them last game. They might be better off without him until he heals.

I guess I have mixed feelings about it because game 5 is so important but if he is not healthy it's better to sit him.

I too had very little desire to watch the Nuggets Portland series, but caught a little of Game 2 and have been hooked ever since. That's some great, exciting basketball being played, with almost ZERO whining or douche-bags clogging the court.

I wouldn't mind if the Bucks beat the Celtics in this series except for Bledsoe.

Celtics go down 3-1 in series after 113-101 loss to the Bucks in Boston.

No one wanted to get in the way of Giannis. He is beyond awesome.

I love how the pundits I listen to kept sayinbg the Celtics were going to win this series. Even after the Bucks won the second game!

It's been going on all season (at least all season). Boston struggles but the moment they show some life, the experts say they're back and predict great things for them. It's like the Dallas Cowboys all over again. The Cowboys can go 0 - 5 and if they win 1 game the conversation goes straight to Super Bowl for them.

It looks like those pundits are wrong. With Giannis, the Bucks will become a destination point for free agents if they decide to clear room.

Game 4 starting off looking bad in this respect. first play of the game Durant tries to fake being pushed out of bounds by Tucker. Curry takes 2 charges only 1 called, the Houston crowd starts chanting "flopper". Then Rivers clearly fouls Durant gets called and throws his hands up in disgust.

Game 2 was really good for no whining, I missed game 3, so far game 4 is a whine fest.

At least Curry is looking much better although if you pay attention he's still holding his left hand often. Keep an eye on Curry and Shumpert, Shumpert hit him on the hand late in the first quarter clearly intentionally and Steph was not too happy.

Durant just BLATANTLY elbowed Paul in the face. Jumped in the air, was coming down, looked back at Paul, bent his elbow and then jabbed it back in Paul's face. That was ridiculous.
