just another epic "crap your pants, when things get tight" moment for a DA team.

They just lost the last two games... totally healthy... against the Warriors not just missing TWO starters, but one of them being THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE.

Dude's a good coach when given elite talent. That's it and that's all. I'd be STUNNED if any team he ever coaches wins a title.

Allow me to repeat what I said yesterday...

Without Durant Golden State is still the best team in the league. In some ways I think they're better. I think Klay and Curry having their "bad spells" have had a lot to do with the teams habit of playing iso ball and standing around when Durant has it going. Also, I think Kerr is a great coach who has not bothered to coach for a few years.

This also drives home just how gutless it was of Durant to sign with Golden State in the first place.

it would be amazing to actually see them win the title without Durant... just to prove once again how much of a freaking bitch that guy was trying to win titles.

I’d like to thank Paul Pierce for tonight’s Warriors win.

Keep making those predictions!!

I wonder how different this season plays out of Houston hadn't idiotically signed Carmelo. They probably would have been the 1 or 2 seed, that's for sure.

Melo was a mistake, for sure, but they really screwed up letting Ariza and Mbah a Moute go. They signed Melo late thinking he'd be able to fill the void those 2 left at forward for them. They were down to Tucker as a true forward and that was basically it. They lucked into getting Shumpert and Austin Rivers this year and needed them badly because they lost all of their depth in the offseason. They had no bench, at all, to enter the season and they really didn't have one of value in the playoffs.

They played Danuel House big minutes for most of the season because they were so thin up front. He was our G-League player last year. That should say something on it's own. I guess the Suns helped make sure D'Antoni wouldn't win a title in Houston when they overpaid Ariza because if they still had him and added Melo then they might have been in a better position. I don't think it works but I don't think it falls apart as quickly. The Rockets lacked veteran leadership and locker room guys to keep Melo from being so Melo. They lost Ryan Anderson, who didn't play but was said to be a great bench and locker room guy for us, and they lost Ariza, who was said to be the opposite of what we ended up getting.

They lost a few other pieces last offseason but they were down to Harden, Paul, Gordon, Gerald Green, Tucker, and Capela for returning players and they had Danuel House, Austin Rivers, and Iman Shumpert as their primary bench players. Last year they had enough that they were able to sit Anderson and leave Joe Johnson on the bench also. This year both would have seen playing time.

Houston really needs a third scorer. I would be pitching TJ Warren to them. Not sure what we would want in return, maybe as part of a three team trade?

Well that was an interesting night. Left after the 3rd quarter going to Sacramento. Stopped in Tracy, stunned to see Warriors won. 30 minutes later on I5 just before the exit torwards UOP my car dies. 4 weeks ago my alternator died and I barely made it to the mechanic, they replaced it did the 200K service, exact same thing tonight except it died, in the fast lane where you have to cross about 6 lanes while the car is decelarating and nobody wants to let you over. Then we're stuck basically on an overpass on the shoulder. We were there at least 45 minutes waiting. AAA kept saying don't worry, we called CHP saying can't someone get us off here we can't get out of the car. Finally the battery died and CHP then upgraded us and a car pushed us off. So now we're broekn down in Stockton(not a particularly safe city).

Finally tow truck driver arrives, he lives in San JOse and they knew he could tow us back home which is why it took so long, but nobody told us that.

So he was happy the Warriors won.

At this point I think this is a sign got 200K miles out of 2003 Tahoe, time to get a new car.

So I missed the entire 4th quarter and I think I forgot to tape it too but considering everything else tonight all good

Paul just undercut iggys knees again.

He's a great player but yeah he's just dirty. There's a difference between the stuff Harden does, tripping etc, and the stuff Paul does, nut punches, going after knees etc.

Again early in the game he flops on Steph, Steph drives by and he tries to trip Curry with a semi leg whip, not even a minute into the game and he's trying to trip someone.

I've been complaining about what a POS Paul is for at least a half dozen years now, it's nice to see the rest of the world coming around. And before he joined the Clippers I just thought he was the best PG in the game, I had no idea about all the other stuff.

This is how I see it as well. This could be the 5th season in a row the Warriors are in the finals.

After a while it would be nice to see a new face in the West.

Another reward for the victorious Warriors: League sources say that DeMarcus Cousins -- if he maintains his recent progress from a torn quad -- is on course to make a return to the Warriors' active roster during the Western Conference finals

I suspect this is the last year so I'm going to really enjoy every minute of it. I'm on house money now I expected to lose this series with KD, winning it without him the last game is gravy.

I watched the 4th quarter this morning(taped the replay on ESPN late last night). Steph was pretty special. There's one play where he hits a 3, gets high fived by Gordon no call, falls down trying to get the call. During the fall he tweaks the left hand so he gets up looking at it, shaking it, in clear pain. They're up 5 but if I didn't know the outcome I'd have thought for sure that was it. And he just killed it after that.

Harden is a great player, almost unguardable, I hate all the histrionics but the thing with him I dislike the most is his defense. he didnt' commit a foul until 8 minutes left, not because he's Mr Clean but beause he plays no defense, he just goes for steals. IMO the biggest play of the game is Warriors up 3, Draymond drives middle. Iggy is in the corner and he's Harden's man. Harden is in total no mans land, Bryce Alford did it at UCLA for 4 years drove me nuts. If you're going to help on the drive, help, if not stay, don't be in the middle doing nothing. Draymond kicks to Iggy, Harden has his hands down so easy pass. Harden now has to close on Iggy who's made 5 3's, but he's going to be somewhat late due to where he is the defense rotates, Iggy hits Klay who nails a 3 that effectively ices the game.

Klay is not Harden's man, Draymond is not Harden's man, but a big part of why they get that open 3 is Harden not guarding anybody, he made the last 2 passes easy because he simply wasn't playing defense. In a 3 point game, elimination, just hard to explain.

have to admit I never liked Austin Rivers but hell I'd take him on the Warriors now, really impressed me made shots, drove, and defended. With Harden, Paul and Gordon he won't start but really showed me something this series.

That's crazy. I thought he'd be out for a couple of months. I didn't realize he could return this postseason.

That's his goal I still am skeptical and I'm with Phrazbit team is better without although he did play pretty well in one game against Denver IIRC.

I think they are better without Cousins also but without Durant playing there is a chance Cousins meshes into the lineup better. At this point I think Cousins will either be really big for them in a good or bad way, it's unlikely he's just present. He may help them a whole lot but he also might derail them entirely, we'll see.

What makes the Warriors special is Stephen Curry. They may be invincible for another four or five seasons.

I suspect we will have the same conversation at this time next year.

Enjoy until the Suns are ready to challenge!

No guarantee Brogdon starts for Bucks in ECF
MILWAUKEE -- Despite having a week between the end of the second round and the beginning of the Eastern Conference finals, there is no guarantee that Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon will be ready to return to the starting lineup by the beginning of the next series as he recovers from a minor plantar fascia tear.

"He needs more game minutes, more game action," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after practice Saturday. "We plan to continue to increase Malcolm's workload and minutes. To say exactly how it's going to play out -- the next step will be him playing a little bit more in Game 1."

I don't think they'll be invincible for that long , top 5 team ya, but I'd bet that next year or maybe even this year may be there last on top, teams are getting better in the west each year and they are gonna start declining especially when green leaves
