The Jazz have lots of shooters in Mitchell, Conley, Bogdanović and Clarkson. Even Niang and Ingles can shoot.

I was hoping another team would sign Clarkson as a free agent.

Shooters != bucket getters

Mitchell and Clarkson can get a bucket on their own. Neither is particularly elite at it.

Everyone else on the Jazz relies upon the system to get them shots.

In the playoffs, systems crash and bucket getters become enormously valuable.

This raises questions about the Suns.

Who can create their own shot... Booker, Paul (to some degree), Nader (as a slasher) and Payne.

Having two guys that are great at it usually enough. Booker and Paul are both really good at scoring against keyed up defense. I do agree that Mikal or CamP need to step up a lot for the Suns to score on the LAs.

Conley is interesting. He’s their “swing” player. Like us with Ayton. If either one of them plays really well, that team can make a Finals.

I'd probably have to apologize too given that I can't figure out what he actually said that was an anti-Semitic slur?

Have you never heard the slur “****”?

it’s always interesting to me the things a minority group just has burned in their brain because of the things they’ve experience or learned as they grew up.

Yeah, I'm familiar with it but I missed it in the censored quote (I read it too quickly, thought the "k" was ending the "f" word). But knowing that's the word he used, it's difficult to imagine he didn't know what he was saying when he said it. That one's fairly well established IMO.

A) I’m not buying it; and
B) even if he didn’t know the exact meaning he still knows it’s some sort of derogatory term and he chose to use it without knowing what it meant? On second thought I’m doubling down on A above. Who uses a derogatory without knowing what it is??? A child is all I can come up with.

I had never heard of the slur before. I think someone would have to know about it to use it.

Yes, I had never heard it or recognized it. I can't imagine anyone saying the word without knowing the meaning.

Yeah, I'm not aware of it ever being used in a complimentary or non-derogatory manner.

Never in my lifetime has it been used in anything other than a derogatory manner.

Yeah there's a lot of racial slurs that have had a place in common usage where the intended meaning isn't always negative but "****" isn't one of them.

Meyers Leonard will stay away from the Heat indefinitely. The NBA will conduct an investigation.

“K**e” is like calling a Black person a “n****r.” Meyers Leonard knew what he was saying, or at least knew it was extremely offensive to a group. Arison is an Israeli-American, so I doubt he’ll want to keep Leonard and his 3.3 ppg on his team, especially considering the large Jewish contingency in the Miami area
