Dude, the Rams were an after thought during Super Bowl week back when they played the Pats four years ago.

No one here cares about football unless USC is rolling.

Good thing the NFL has two teams here...
The Chargers moving to LA was comical.

Not only has the LA market proven itself to be disinterested in pro football but they actively dislike the Chargers.

That Laker team sucks. Even with LeBron, they're going to be fighting to avoid the bubble all year.

The they lack shooters, only a couple guys give a crap about defense, several players quite obviously hate each other. They are a mess. Any long term injury to Davis and they will miss the playoffs entirely.

The Westbrook trade was a joke. He adds nothing to that team and they lost several guys who did the little things and actually seem to give a ****.

Lakers were just dominated last night. They give up so easily on defense. After 2-3 passes they just stop rotating. THT has learned to fall on every drive now like AD. The rest of the team just wants to chuck it up while AD has his man sealed down low or is in great position.

I asked this before, who goes first: Vogel or Russel.

The Ben Simmons saga continues as he is fined for failing to travel with the team per Shams Charania.

Evan Mobley of Cavaliers will miss 2-4 weeks with right elbow strain.

This Warriors team is REALLY good. If Klay is even 85% of what Klay used to be they are going to be downright scary.

The return for Westbrook is provided them with 5 legit NBA rotation players. They were similar to the Suns in Ayton's rookie year where we lacked depth and had roughly 6 NBA players who were capable of producing. They are now similar to the Suns last year with a very deep team.

It isn't the subtraction of Russ that turned them around, it was the package for Russ that helped them. Hell, they traded Wall's awful contract and 2 First Round picks for Russ.

Other than Russ the only player they lost was Chandler Hutchinson, who was waived and signed by us to a Two-Way deal.

Look at the deals for Russ and getting rid of him, they got 5 good NBA players in Dinwiddie, Kuzma, Montrez Harrell, Caldwell-Pope, and Aaron Holiday. Those 5 make up 2-5 in minutes per game for them while Holiday is #9 in minutes per game on their team.

I think Klay will play a far lesser role this year, they will ease him in. What I am more curious about is Wiseman. He hasn't played either and last season they were significantly better without him. If he is a similar player this year they will face the tough choice of benching their top pick or playing him significant minutes to the potential detriment of the team in the short term.

It is a disastrous trade for the Lakers and I don't think hindsight is necessary.

The Lakers, a team with durability and shooting as their chief problems last year, dumped all their best shooters and young players for Russell Westbrook... a player who can't shoot for ****. They also let Caruso walk, a guy who scraps and fights and wanted nothing else but to be a Laker.

LeBron the GM is a disaster. They could have had Derozan (he desperately wanted to be there) and given up next to nothing. They also could have picked up Buddy Hield and gotten an off ball shooter they desperately need. Instead they attempted to assemble the 2012 all stars, half of whom hate each other.

Westbrook is a unique player, he requires everything on his team to revolve around his talents to succeed. He can elevate a bad team to playoff contention, but he can also ruin a contender. It is because he does not fit in with anyone, he is a one man show, he does not play off the ball, he takes wildly stupid shots and if he isn't making his awful shots then he sucks on offense... and as the years have gone by and father time has sapped his speed, he sucks more and more often.

This Laker team is the 2004 Lakers redux, only more toxic and far less talented. They are destined for a repeat appearance in the play in game.

They remind me of that title Spurs team that beat Miami except Steph is an MVP caliber player.

What is Klay’s timetable? @Russ Smith

he's playing 5 on 5 now, Wiseman is not yet. I don't know any timetable though they haven't really said.

Yeah they were talking about it last night they are good now but a bit small. His size can be useful but he has to get up to speed on defense, that was his issue last year, and they're so good now with Bjelica as the backup spacing the floor I think Wiseman is going to have a hard time getting lots of minutes. Also note Kuminga is starting to get meaninful minutes and is playing pretty well which also makes it tougher for Wiseman.

If you watched the first half of the Warriors and Nets my god Blake Griffin must be having nightmares about Curry. over and over they got the switch and then Curry either swished a 28 footer over Blake, or he went by him for a layup. There's a highlight reel on FB of the first half and almost every bucket Steph scores is against Blake Griffin. That's the NBA for you coaches are merciless, they find a matchup and they torch it

More toxic than 04’? Nah…. Kobe and Shaq hated each other, Phil was checked out, Malone hit on Vanessa…. That team was the toxic GOAT and still made the finals.

It helped they had Donaghy to pave the way. I believe that was the year the Kings were robbed.

That was the year Fisher made the .04 shot to beat San Antonio in the WCF. The Lakers that year started out 18-3 that year before injuries.

That was the year Fisher was at least two tenths of a second late to beat San Antonio in the WCF but the clock operator fell asleep. The Lakers that year started out 18-3 that year before injuries.
FTFY

BTW, Fisher disagrees with me, he believes he was only one tenth of a second late.

Watching this Bucks/Lakers game and the difference between Giannis and AD is I know what I’m going to get out of Giannis every night. He’s relentless. AD could average similar if not better stats than Giannis but to me he left New Orleans because he will always be a #2. He can’t lead a team and it’s painfully obvious. It’s disappointing because he has more skill than Giannis. But Greek Freak doesn’t give AF. He just hoops. If AD played to his true full potential he has top 5 power forward potential of all time

Yeah Anthony Davis might be the best #2 since Pippen but he is not a #1, at all. We go nuts seeing Ayton go up and down, I can only imagine having to watch Davis do his disappearing act.

I can't believe he was named to the top 75 player list this year. Sure he has the talent but he doesn't have the drive. It took being locked in a hotel with LeBron to get him to finally commit regularly. Since then he's back to being a fake franchise player.
