Teams will be able to talk and begin negotiations with their own free agents one day after the final game of the Finals.

I like that. Not that it didn't happen before but now they can drop the charade that there wasn't any contract talk between the season and the end of the moratorium. Definitely was one of the worst kept secrets that teams were doing this already, now maybe they can follow guidelines and speak up when they hear of other teams contacting their players early because before it seemed they didn't simply because they knew they were also breaking rules talking to the player themselves. Retaining teams now have an advantage, which is fair.

It always seemed a team should be able to talk to their own free agent players, although not technically until now, until they sign elsewhere in free agency.

Maybe they should allow it period for all teams.

Did anyone hear about Zion, he's refusing to play as he's only 99% healthy and wants to be 100%? Zions personal doctors and stepdad are saying he's not ready to play yet. Pelicans are threatening to waive Zion, as the organization and players are growing more and more frustrated with Zion. What a mess these younger players are these days.

This reeks of Zion not wanting to be there to me or he simply is another talented dude with little passion for the game. If you are competitive? Heck...your probably out there at 70%. I get that in some organizations they care more about the team than the players. We have seen players forced back early into action. However, you are at 99% and still won't play?

Come on now.

Maybe he just prefers video games and donuts to banging with guys his own size (or closer anyway) for once. When you cannot dominate every night because you are 80 pounds heavier than everyone else, its just not as fun.

I’m telling you… you’re way off. I will put a guarantee stamp on it.

The way the league works, I bet Young still has more value.
I mean anything is possible if Utah can get what they did for Gobert - but I know I wouldn't want to be trading for him.

Waive him?

He has to have some trade value. More than Young would have I would think.

I would hope that he is just trying to force his way out.

If not and this is just who he is, it's a pretty huge waste of talent.

He still dominates every night because he’s quicker than those dudes.

Actually on the telecast they said he is 100% healed from the injury according to their pregame interview but he is not yet ready to play. The medical staff has not cleared him.

What the heck does that mean? He is out of shape? That is sure what it sounded like. This sounds fishy like they are running cover for him or something.
