Might want to kick the tires on him. He can be a decent ballhandler and facilitator, or at least better than anyone we have.

We have no way to get him other than trading Allen and Little, which wouldn't be worth it. Maybe if Allen shows some PG skills and Little starts looking like a PF then James Jones would do it though.

Considering the shape of his knee I am completely shocked at this deal.

The only explanation is I guess Balmer has more money than he knows what to do with, but still it will crush their cap flexibility if in a few weeks his knee acts up again and he never plays again - which is a very real possibility.

This year has given them what might end up being false hope.

I don't think we can trade for Kennard. We don't have anyone within 110% of his salary.

Maybe someone here with more knowledge can confirm.

First apron:

  • Salary matches in trades have to be within 110% of the outgoing salary — that number is 125% for non-taxpayer clubs — and teams can’t take more money in a trade than it sends out.
  • Teams can’t acquire players in sign-and-trade deals in the offseason if the incoming salary keeps them above the apron.
  • Teams can’t sign a player waived during the regular season if his salary exceeds the mid-level exception, which this season is $12.2 million. This will limit tax teams during the annual buyout season, as veterans not dealt before the trade deadline generally look for new teams for the playoffs.

second apron:

  • Teams will no longer be able to use the taxpayer mid-level exception.
  • If a team remains in the second apron three out of five seasons, their first-round pick will automatically move to the end of the round, beginning next season.
  • First-round picks seven years out — a valuable asset for capped-out contenders — cannot be traded beginning next season.
  • Salaries cannot be aggregated or combined to trade for a single player making more money.
  • Teams can’t use trade exceptions created from a prior year.
  • Teams can no longer use cash in trades.

Free agency isn’t a thing in the NBA anymore so maybe he’s just spending to spend. I’m kinda shocked that Kawhi still looks like a top-10 player when he’s actually on the court.

For my sanity please find a way to trade Andrew Wiggins.

JFC, Warriors start off horribly, allow 9 3's and 46 points in the first quarter, fall down as much as 25 to the Pels. They cut it down to 13 with the ball at the end of the half first Wiggins doesn't set the screen so they easily double Steph making him give it up, Steph finds Moody who misses, and Wiggins just stands there and lets the rebound hit the floor because he thought the shot clock was the game clock and didn't know there was still time in the half. The rebound literally fell right to him for a putback and he just stood there!

Unreal, for about 18 minutes the only stops the Warriors got were Pelicans missing wide open shots. They finally make a run, and Wiggs sleepwalks the last possession.

If this isn't bottom I can't imagine what is. Down 11 Kuminga tries to dunk on Valencunias no foul block. Next time down Jones makes a great block on Jackson Davis so he can't cut it to 9. There's a weird rebound play down I think down 15 where the ball appeared to go off NO but they gave them the ball. The Warriors are all calling for Kerr to challenge it, Jackson-Davis just begging Kerr to challenge, he looks up and they inbound the ball before the replay which appears to show it was the Warriors ball. The Warriors at that point completely quit, Pels blew them out, I turned it off down 35 with 123 points allowed and over 7 minutes left.

I turned it off because Moody tried to dunk, missed, and hurt his foot and went limping off, just can't take it anymore.

Steve Kerr has completely lost the team IMO. His 3 vocal leaders are all out hurt, teams can double Steph anytime they want. But after the horrible start they were still somewhat in the game, but I really feel when he didn't challenge the out of bounds call the team just said screw this and quit. I think he knew it too didn't put Steph or Klay. When a team doesn't believe their coach has their back, I think it's a huge problem.

If it's any comfort, the Pelicans are really good.

Aside from the Nuggets, we may be seeing a changing of the guard in the Western Conference.

Oh they're great, incredibly long team and they shot the lights out from 3, but the shots were wide open. But it was just so clear that the Warriors quit on Kerr last night.

After the Toronto game Kerr said that they got punched in teh face and for the first time all year just backed down and took it. He said we haven't seen it before, and we won't see it again. The very NEXT game, at home, it happened again.

His vocal leaders are Draymond, GP2 and CP3, none of them are playing so it's all on Steph, and 35 year old Steph can't do it all alone.

It might be time to make some changes. At least the Warriors have some championships to show for it.

The NBA Draft may be two days in 2024, June 26th and 27th.

I would watch both days if the Suns were involved.
