Think you're correct. He looks like our version of Ray Guy.Nolan Cooney
Kyler Murray is the most interesting by far - for many reasons.

I'm excited for Cam Thomas. I think he's going to be a beast, though I think they will ultimately move him to DL.Outside of Michael Wilson, Paris Johnson, and Clayton Tune...
I am not very excited about any of the players on our roster at this point.
Yeah, he didn't do much at all in PS.
I have a feeling next week we are going to see a bunch of roster churn. Should be interesting
True. He has no stats for preseason. I had hope for him coming into the season. Is he hurt?
Ok thanks. Makes sense now.Yes. He injured a hand.
I don’t think we are going to see 10 guys brought in but I think we will see a couple of d-linemen, a safety and a cb if available. If we do Monti/Gannon are worse than I thought.
You don't churn the roster just before the season starts and lose a bunch of guys you just spent teaching the scheme to for a bunch of guys that have no clue. Unless they are guys that played for Gannon and Petzing before and know the system.
I hope, at best, it's 2-3 players. We need more depth at RB, Safety and CB.
TomorrowWhich day Is the deadline for the 53?
If you're not prioritizing winning, you're better off bringing in more talented players than the ones you've got and seeing if you can pick up multi-year deals with no guarantees. A lot of positions are just plug and play in most systems. If we do Monti/Gannon are worse than I thought.

It's not like taking a sculptor and asking him to paint. It's more like asking a painter to learn a new style of painting. Most of these guys have played football for well over a decade. If you're not prioritizing winning, you're better off bringing in more talented players than the ones you've got and seeing if you can pick up multi-year deals with no guarantees. Drew Petzing's play sheet for Saturday's game was the size of two business cards taped together. The churn in the roster on the second or third teams isn't going to impact the team we see much.
Every team cuts some guys and grabs guys who they think are better. It happens every year.If we do Monti/Gannon are worse than I thought.

The only caveat with this IMO is waiving young players on multi year deal. At some point, better to have a cost controlled body than one you will have to refill in a year.If you're not prioritizing winning, you're better off bringing in more talented players than the ones you've got and seeing if you can pick up multi-year deals with no guarantees. I would normally agree but we have Charcere and Moffat as our two backup S. Neither are draft picks and neither are under contract for next year. Backup RBs Clement and Demercado, both very replaceable. CB, Christian Matthew and Nate Hairston...same. ILB...a lot of vet guys on one year deals. DL, the same as ILB.It does, but one or two. Maybe if there are some Eagles or Browns guys they like we might see 4. But otherwise, a couple of guys is about it.
Very rare to see teams do more. And I'd guess more common for teams to claim none.
Would be so nice.Maybe we are trading Prater.

Where I do not expect much movement unless injuries occur is OL, WR, QB, EDGE. Those spots all seem like it would be tough to find a better player being cut at this point in time. Maybe EDGE, but a lot of youth in that group.
There is truth to this, but sometimes it's not about being better, talentwise, it's more about being a better fit for what the coaches want and need.I agree, the problem is people are overestimating the quality of the guys that will hit waivers.
The guys getting cut are no better than these guys, and at least the guys you have are known quantities. And the better guys that might hit have to get past the Bears and Texans first.
There are some Eagles possibles. One of Devon Allen and Brittain Covey will get cut. Both are good ST guys. Kentavius Street might not make it on the roster and would be an upgrade for us. Two of Eli Ricks, Mario Goodrich and Makhi Garner probably don't make it either.
Some of these defensive guys would be my bet, although not all of them have Gannon ties and guys like Street are vested.
Also the guys could just be younger and more likely to be depth on the next playoff team than just dudes who walk away for a minimum-salary deal with another team in 2024.There is truth to this, but sometimes it's not about being better, talentwise, it's more about being a better fit for what the coaches want and need.
