We still need a 3rd Center. Ayton, Eubanks, and ???

Metu and Eubanks are 4/5's and not true 5's. We need a real 5 to cover that position when Ayton misses his 20 or so games he does every year.
I thought Chimezie Metu was signed be our 3rd center, plus we have a guy on the summer league team that looks interesting.

With this group currently assembled, I expect the Suns to play at a much higher pace than the last couple with CP3. Vogel alluded to as much during the Beal press conference, but seeing the rest of the roster fill out I think it's the right call. Without much shot creation aside from the big 3, getting those easy transition buckets will be key.

Just watched Bill Simmons latest podcast and he was like Lakers are the 2nd best team in the west after Denver.

What total BS. Everyone is talking about how great the Lakers did - all they did is add Vincent and Taurien Prince.

How is that going to make up for the fact Leborn is 40 and AD is totally unreliable. I don't care if they have 10 legit role players - they aren't winning without true stars and they don't have them.

you could say the same thing about KD/Beal as you can AD at this point.

The idea that LeBron and AD aren’t true stars is pretty out there at this point. You expected them to lose to Memphis and get their doors blown in by GS and they handled both with ease… and without HCA.

I think it’s between us and The Lakers in the West.

I think the Lakers made solid moves before the trade deadline last season and continued the same path this summer, so I think they are improved.

They made it to the Western Conference Finals in the playoffs. Can't take that away from them.

Now let's see how Jemison does in summer league. If he performs at all, maybe we could sign him up as the last one.

So Toumani Camara signs a standard NBA contract.

The Suns have 15 standard roster spots and 3 two-way roster spots. It looks like this.

PG: Devin Booker, Cam Payne, Eric Gordon

SG: Bradley Beal, Jordan Goodwin, Damion Lee

SF: Josh Okogie, Keita Bates-Diop

PF: Kevin Durant, Yuta Watanabe, Touamni Camara

C: Deandre Ayton, Drew Eubanks, Chimezie Metu

--------------------------------------------------
This is 14 players.

They could easily create one more standard roster spot.

Ish Wainright's contract is not guaranteed. Isaiah Todd's contract is guaranteed but he does not seem ready to play.

Agreed. And back in 2021, he was a killer in transition in that Nuggets series and played tough hard minutes against the Clips.

I still remember that break when we were just TORCHING the Nuggets when he got the steal, broke out, Payne saw him and lofted a perfect half court alley-oop and Craig CRUSHING the dunk, seemingly tearing the roof off the arena. That was the moment where I foolishly believed we were gonna win that thing. Not just because of the dunk but it was just the punctuation on our dominance to that point ripping off 4 massive blowouts in a row.

I think he can be replaced but still be missed. Was a good glue guy.

Well, GS should have beat them. I still don't understand what happened there.

I'm sorry Lebron looks really old, he mostly just takes jumpers at this point, and very rarely can take over a game. That's what wins games, they don't have a player that can do it anymore. We have 3.

If you want to say the lakers are the third best team in the West, it's arguable. To say they are better than the Suns is laughable to me.

As far as I know, Ish Wainright's contract is not guaranteed, so I guess they could switch it to a two-way contract.

If the Suns keep Isaiah Todd (guaranteed), could they be looking at trade options down the road?

I know this is nit picking - but Jordan Goodwin is a lot more PG than a SG. He played 87% of his minutes as a PG last year. I don't understand why everyone keeps listing him at 2 guard.

Gordon is more 2 guard than point, so to me those 2 need to flipped.

I'm mostly trying to keep track of the Suns roster. Some of the players can play multiple positions.

You can see it on multiple sites too. ESPN may have a guy at PG, and Hoops Hype may say he's a SG. It's whatever the coach says he is. LOL!

Metu isn't a real C. He's 6'9" and doesn't really bang inside. He's a tweener big.

We shouldn't be counting on a Summer League signing to provide depth at Center. We aren't a rebuilding team, we're a team with championship aspirations.

I see room for movement on the Suns roster as previously noted in post #2238.

The Suns may have 16 players on their roster but Ish Wainright's contract is not guaranteed and Isaiah Todd dosn't look like an immediate contributor. Jordin Goodwin is a keeper.

I can easily see the Suns getting to 14 players with up to 3 two-way spots open. Saban Lee could be placed in one of the two-way spots.

Gonna be interesting to see where the Suns go from here, since they have 16 players under contract including Ish Wainright (non-guaranteed until January) Jordan Goodwin (partially guaranteed) and Isaiah Todd (guaranteed)

I'd like to see the Suns add someone like Montrezl Harrell. Biz and Frank Kaminsky are stilll out there.
