Servin' up more Suns Kool Aid...

This one explains how trading the twins to NJ took away Yuta's minutes, thereby allowing the Suns to get him on the cheap... A "poor man's Cam Johnson"???

Also, the Yuta KD connection in NJ is pretty interesting...

So should we consider Yuta when we evaluate the KD trade from here out? Looks like trading foR KD for us Yuta as well.

This interesting and contradictory to the media report the 76ers are going to sign Bol Bol.

I'm sure if Frank Vogel is interested, he has plans for him.

Lots of teams are considering Bol Bol right now. His skill set is unique for his size. People look at his stats from last year, but that is deceiving. He has a good three point shot, excellent handles for a forward let alone a 7-2 player. He has good speed and agility, but not much leaping ability. However, he is so incredibly long. He does block shots but is very skinny.

He is 7-2 but plays like a wing. KD really should be his role model.

It's perplexing the Suns don't outright sign him because I believe he plays for the minimum.

They could waive Todd and Wainright's contract is not guaranteed.

Here is a tweet from Adrian Wojnarowski about 16 hours ago about Bol Bol going to the 76ers.

Ayton at PF article

This article is all over the place on IF Ayton could play PF for Vogel. Typical off season conjecture article. I should send our thread posts on this to the writer!

Anybody have a link to players rebounds per minute(s) average?

Basketball-Reference.com is probably the best for basic stats. They have regular stats, per 36 minutes, per 100 possessions, and percentages of rebounds he gets when he's on the floor. He's a good rebounder, averaging 3.8 in 10 minutes a game, which is equal to 12.5 per 36, which is a few minutes more than your typical starter during the regular season.

I just don’t get the insanity. He doesn’t have modern day PF skills. He is a terrible ballhandler and doesn’t have legitimate three point range. He is NOT Anthony Davis.

What's odd is supposedly he played point guard before his growth spurt. Either he was a really bad PG, or he's totally lost those skills. If you have had handles, you don't lose them.

Depends on the growth spurt. It can definitely throw off someone's ball handling if they need to compensate for an extra 6 or more inches. Anthony Davis used to be a PG in High School as well. Court vision is never lost but handles can be.

I used to love Magic Johnson, and that guy used his body better than anyone to keep the ball from being stolen. He also did what I learned playing basketball, when defenders get close to you, crouch lower, lower those hips, and dribble the ball way closer to the ground. You can control the ball way faster that way. Ayton never crouches, which you want to do to use your caboose backing guys down. I wish I was his big man coach. That's one of the first changes I make to his handles.

I think that argument can be made, but I would be surprised and impressed if they knew the chips would fall that way.

In hindsight, it really looks like we had a plan for free agency this year. Obviously we targeted certain guys and were successful in signing them, since most of the moves occurred so quickly in the window. The Landale recinding his qualifying offer was a real signal we had something going down. Then the window opened and it was like POW! Suns get this guy, and this guy, and this guy and this guy! We were like on Fire!

So looking at he moves we made, I think last season we were last or pretty close to last in getting threes up as a team. Over/under we move into the top ten on three shot attempts this season? Probably get to the upper half in the league I am thinking.

He's not a good player.

He may have upside though.
All my hoop friends I talk with, they either LOVE this guy, or say he's not an NBA player. There's been no, I think he's OK. He is polarizing in that you either love him, or think he's trash. LOL! I haven't watched him play, but loved his father's game. My son says he has good handles for a guy his size.
