he is their best young player, they aren’t going to include him.

nurkic, garbage and the 3rd pick is more than enough.
Agreed. Nurkic could minimally replace some of Ayton’s production. Maybe a role player off their roster. And scoot would be an impact rookie imo and would set up the scoot/book backcourt for a decade.

Who are these multiple sources? Sounds like Trump, "People say......"

Flex passes his guess off as legit news. I floated the #3 for Ayton pick here a few days ago. Maybe I'm one of his sources. Wouldn't surprise me if Flex trolls boards like this to give him an idea of what to throw out there and bait people.

I give you MORE credit than Flex. You were first anyway!

really really doubt they give up simons and the #3

but they have to have somebody else less valuable

If Jerami Grant (free agent) can be extended, it would probably work with Jusuf Nurkic.

I don't think he can be traded now.

If Jerami Grant can be traded, plus Nurkic and #3 might be doable for the Trail Blazers.

Then the Suns would be free to draft a point guard.

I'm not a fan of the Portland rumor. Nurkic doesn't amount to anything and Henderson can't shoot at all. Hopefully the Suns can do better, for example with Indiana.

The Trail Blazers have bird rights on Jerami Grant. They are unlikely to keep him anyway.

Now, Spurs have the W guy who is supposedly a PF, what'd be the chance for DA for Sochan trade. If we get the 12.5m MLE reintalled, we could sign Brook Lopez.

If the Suns are a luxury taxpayer, their MLE is only around $5 million.

Wemby is a Center. He won't be playing PF and Sochan isn't going anywhere. Like Mainstreet said, the MLE for the Suns would be much lower as taxpayers also. I think its like $7-8m but that isn't a sure thing at this point.

Scoot is going #2. The #3 pick would be going to a third team in this hypothetical.

Scoot has been #3 in almost all mocks I've seen post lottery drawing. Charlotte won't take him with Lamelo there. That wouldn't make sense for them, at all, especially with Brandon Miller available to fill a big hole they have had at Forward since Bridges revealed himself as an unstable POS.

Idk how I feel about Scoot. I mean I’d love to draft him but our window is pretty much next year.

You are using voice recognition software as well? I take it that was supposed to say "flex passes his GAS off as legit news."?

DA/Shamet for Turner/Hield(or McConnel). I'm not familiar with Hield's game, whether he can create his own shots or not. I believe we need a Powell, TMann, Bruce Brown, Malik Monk type of secondary playmaker off the bench. Payne is too streaky at this role.

Hield fits the role you mention. He's streaky as well but he's best in a Sixth Man role. He's not a good primary playmaker but can create his own offense. I'd compare him to Eric Gordon in Houston. He probably won't ever be more than that but could be a legit Sixth Man of the Year contender on the right team, used properly.

Even if the #3 pick is going to a third team I can’t imagine Ayton having anywhere near that kind of value.

I posted this a couple days ago.

This is not the least bit surprising. The Blazers are a desperate team... they also have one of the worst front offices in the NBA.

They are ripe to be ripped off.

A trade of Nurkic, Simmons and the #3 for Ayton, Shamet and something like a pick swap in 2024 or 2026 would not surprise me at all.

All the Blazers do, year after year, are awful deals that ruin their cap and waste Lillard's career.

What the Hornets do with Bridges and the 2nd pick is a good question. Everyone knows Saben Lee is going to start at point for the Suns next season........
