Don't even know why the Suns would meet with Kyrie considering we already have offense up the wazoo, not to mention the pricetag and baggage
Makes no sense to me. Bad from a basketball perspective and worse from a PR perspective. If there was ever a move that screamed Isiah Thomas was involved, this would be it.

So fo

I could see load management done this way for the regular season, one game Beal and Book start, play half a quarter, then KD and Kyrie play the last half of the quarter, and so on. The next game just reverse the order. Teams would never get a break in games for the second unit coming in. We would essentially have two first units on the floor in games. LOL!

People are going nuts over Kyrie meeting with the Suns.

People saying eff the NBA they ain’t watching to eff the Suns I hope they don’t make it to the playoffs.

I love being part of a villain team.

How is he a cancer on the court? I get his looney tune personality, but he's a damn good basketball player.
He’s a cancer on the court because a) you can’t depend on him to be there because he’s going AWOL for whatever the reason du juor is or he’s being suspended for being a bigot. Thinking there’s not something new down the road that’s going to yank him out of the rotation isn’t following his history and when you’re repeatedly finding reasons NOT to be on the court, filling that void patchwork throughout the season is the cancer on it. Not to mention, despite all his incredible talent, Kyrie hasn’t made an impact lifting his team to even a conference final since he was peak LeBron’s sidekick.

Look at the Mavs… pre-trade, they are right in the mix for the 4/5 seed and he immediately destroys whatever chemistry they had, and heir defense fell apart and they didn’t just miss getting home court, they didn’t even make the playoffs.

No. He’s a freaking cancer on and off the court.

And he ain’t coming for the minimum.
The hypothetical is "what if he chose to come here for the minimum"? The Suns offer no other avenue than the minimum at this point, so I'm not sure what other option is out there. He's meeting with us anyway.

Let's assume in this crazy world he would sign for the minimum. I'll ask again - would you sign him at that point? Where is the risk? If he hends up being a cancer or issue, cut him. He's on a minimum deal!

But at vet minimum, we let him walk. He's not a significant cog. He would be fourth best, arguably.

Yes there is. They decided to do a sign and trade with Ayton and Kyrie and that’s why he’s meeting with us.

No. I don’t believe in constructing a roster using a massive dump of crap instead of cement. And the minimum doesn’t matter. If Kyrie is on your roster, he’s going to be a major part of the foundation regardless of money paid. What good does it do to be able to say “well, that was a disaster but it’s okay we can cut him” after you’ve wasted probably a half year of the season trying to figure a new team out? He’s been a recipe for disaster everywhere he’s gone since leaving LeBron’s side. Any contending team bringing him in gets what they deserve at this point.

IDK, as a minimum guy, and part of your bench, I thought the strategy is to bring in the best talent from the garbage bin. At vet min, ALL guys have some sort of problem.

He will NOT play the role of a minimum guy. He will be bitching, complaining, disappearing and by the time it finally pushed KD to allow his boy to be jettisoned, a big chunk of the season would be gone and we’d have to once again recalibrate the team on the fly in his absence.

Theoretically if Dallas was truly interested in Ayton - I think something could be done with Kyrie in a sign and trade so that Irving would take Ayton's slice and not have to play for the minimum - as long as Kyrie's new contract wasn't more than Ayton's - but honestly I don't see any of that happening

I can see your point. At vet min I take that risk. Trading Ayton, no. I still role in the playoffs with the three main guys. If he can help us win more games in the regular season then flakes out, you just treat it like he got injured.

Agreed.. if I have to trade Ayton I would do it for role players and bench. We don’t need another star scorer.

Let me ask you this,.. would take a risk of adding a little bit of cancer to your body because there’s a massive outside chance there may be some benefit?

There’s no such thing as a little cancer on a team. Especially a cancer as big as Kyrie.

I had to put poison in my body to fix a medical issue. Also, I have SAD and I go out in the AZ Sun for depression issues. I am sure I probably have a little skin cancer, but it fights depression. So yes. I changed to vegan gluten free eating because meat and dairy clogged my arteries leading to a 98% blockage. So I did put bad stuff in my body. Large amounts of meat and dairy can lead to cancers.
