Dunn is still a rookie, Camara has a year under his belt. That makes a real difference.

Dunn has more upside because he is much better athletically. Should we have given away Camara, absolutely not.

I bet year two of Dunn will be much better. The difference you can see in Camara is he is jacked this year compared to his rookie season. He looked NBA ready his rookie year, but I hardly recognized him at first on TV. Dunn has that rookie soft look. If he can get jacked half as much as Camara, he's going to be that much better on defense than he already is.

I forget who I was arguing with over losing Camara in the trade but they were right. Any team in the league would take a 6’8” Ryan Dunn on their team. Both of them would’ve been a poor man’s version of the twins on cheap deals.

These guys are a premium right now. We better keep Dunn. We got lucky picking the right guy in two drafts. Look how many teams miss out on players in the draft. It's a crap shoot.

Part of my dealing with the aggravation of missing out on Haliburton was accepting that he'd probably have just been tossed into the KD trade.

20 games with Schroder the Warriors are 8-12 and he's shooting 36 percent overall and 28 from 3. He was arguably having one of his best seasons ever when they got him but he just has NOT fit the offense. He's a PNR guy and they don't like to run that. He has the 2nd worst plus minus number with Curry on the roster(Lindy Waters worse). He was supposed to take Curry off the ball more so he could focus on scoring more but the results have not worked.

Really fooled me I loved the deal at the time, now I hate it

I've never been a fan of his. He has spells where he looks alright, but it is usually playing for a trash team who is typically trailing by 15. When he has been in a position to make an impact on a team that matters, he stinks, IMO, he tries way too hard to prove himself.

When playing for perennial losers it's more important to look at efficiency vs statistical totals or averages. That's where advanced stats win out. Anyone expecting Cam Johnson to show up and score almost 20 a game are going to be disappointed but anyone wanting him to hit open 3's and take good shots will get what they're after. With Cam we saw him do that here on a winning team and contribute to that success. His numbers are inflated in Brooklyn because he's a #1 or #2 option most nights.

Point guards need to be examined closer because every team/coach assigns different responsibilities to them. Jamal Murray wouldn't be a good fit here despite being a superior PG to Tyus Jones in almost every measurable way but style is very important when taking in a PG because their assignments differ from team to team.

Better talent in a bubble doesn't always mean that's equally transferable from bubble to bubble.

Absolutely.

Jamal Murray is a great example, he is his team's "point guard" yet he almost never has point guard duties. He is the secondary play maker to the biggest offensive threat in the NBA. He is a good player, don't get me wrong, and big moments don't bother him, but if he is the "best" player on a team, or even option 1b, that team probably isn't making the playoffs. I think there are a number of lesser viewed players who could fill the role he plays for Denver.

I want to compare him to BJ Armstrong, but he's better than that... but not a lot better. I really think if you take Murray out of Denver he's just an above average starting guard.
