FWIW, this site uses a comprehensive injury database and machine learning using 1000 variables to predict injury risk for NFL players. Coming into the season they had Michael Wilson rated as "Very low risk".

Sometimes the probabilities are in your favor, but luck isn't.
100% fake specificity

Drake Maye went down in yards, completion %, TDs and QBR compared to 2022. He went up in INTs. Everyone thought UNC was stronger going into 2023 than 2022. His numbers don't blow away Sam Howell.

I am not saying he can't be good. But I am personally not into this type of hype about him. "Best ever". Please.

It's that time of year where there must be players hyped up as generational talents for this draft class. Happens every year without fail

Yeah… I don’t get the “freak impact injury” excuse. Every one on the field is getting hit with high impact all the time. Unfortunately, some player’s bodies aren’t built for it, for whatever reason which is why they have so many “freak” injuries compared to others.
Yep. I could've stuck in college football if not for my high arches. They caused so many injuries and eventually ended up crippling both my lower legs--let alone my shoulder injury. I dared to play football and rugby into my early 20's and that did for me lol Some of us are just built wrong for contact sports.

History tells me there are guys who just can’t stay healthy regardless of how hard they train and rebuild their bodies in the offseason. It doesn’t seem fair and there is no obvious reasons, but there is always a handful of these players every year.

If this is true, isn't that Murray's strength. So if we got Maye, wouldn't we be just trading for the same skill set we have now?
Throwing over the middle is not a skillset...it's just a skill. Couple years back Kyler was knocked for not throwing over the middle... Dude fixes one skill only to regress in another... It's hard to say Kyler has any specific skillset at all

How about the 2021 QB class tho?

Lance, Wilson, & Jones are done as starters.

Fields will most likely be on another team next year.

Lawrence has been solid, but after being labeled as “best QB prospect since Luck”, has been a disappointment.

This was after a lot of hype too. Sheesh.

There are guys paid to make draft decisions.
There are guys paid to generate clicks and hype.
The former should never listen to the latter.

But it would be cool to track some metrics and see which GMs lost their jobs for falling for hype...cooler still if we could manage to pin the firing on a specific hype man... give the leader an espy every year

I don’t think so. The battlecry in Chicago is MHJ with the Ohio State connection. The bears have now won 4 of their last 6 and blew two other games in the last seconds.
They never played together at OSU. Stroud was Harrison's QB the first 2 years and McCord this year. I seriously doubt Harrison goes #1. Williams is going #1. The Bears would be crazy not to load up on draft capital if they decide to keep Fileds.

Same with the Cards. It's going to be hard not to load up on draft capital if some team is in love with Drake Maye.

I can see his thinking. Chicago organization a sh#t show. I'm sure the only team Williams wants to be drafted by is NE.

You want to look at coaches/QB's for results, instead look at ownership. Pretty funny that 4 of the worst run franchises, Arizona, Chicago, Carolina, Washington hold 4 of the first 5 spots in the draft.

Yeah, the Bears already have a legit #1 WR and don't desperately need MHJ like we do.

It might be hard for fans to accept. And ideally you'd wish your QB had the makeup of a Joe Burrow or Trevor Lawrence.

However, Caleb Williams, his dad at least, has already publicly talked about the Browns development of Baker (who looks pretty good in Tampa) and Cards on Kyler. He probably looks at Fields and thinks that situation should be better than what it is as well.

No one wants to be trapped with bad owners. Burrow is just one of the rare talents to overcome it.

That being said he probably to play for the new Commanders owner. However, if the Bears draft him he's got no choice.

Living in Chicago it appears many of the fans love MHJ. It’s not a lock the Bears are giving up on Fields. It might be more likely they trade the pick.

Caleb’s dad better pray he gets drafted to Chicago before New England. New England damn near has little to no talent & Bill Belichick is closer to hanging up his boots than staying for more years.

Ohio St receiver room 3 years ago: Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Smith-Njigba, Jameson Williams, Harrison Jr (didn’t really play as a Fr)

What Kyler is dealing with right now is what Fields has dealt with his entire career. He should be better regardless but he’s been given no chance really.
