I really wish some of you would learn how to use the quote feature.

Actually, I know a few people (and not jsut Spurs fans, I live on the East Coast) who don't realize or have simply forgotten that you've been to the finals. I stand corrected. If HAS been almost 15 years since your last appearance. And before that it was, what, 1976? That's over 30 years. Obviously, I had to look all this up. I couldn't find the other year you made the finals? Enlighten me! BTW....how did those finals work out for you? heh heh

Well, I'm a casual fan not even in his 40s, and I know the Spurs were first the Dallas Chapparals. Or Chaps. Or Chappies. Or something like that. Some corny cowboy thing. Chaps and Spurs. Man, that doesn't make me think of basketball at all.

I can't help it if others have forgotten the Suns' appearances. That just shows how little they know about the NBA and basketball. Doesn't change the fact the Suns were there and they've been consistently successful as an organization since their inception.

I can't remember if you used to post on LakersTalk or LakersGround (I think the former, which was much better). I post there as D-Dogg from time to time.

You were always classy during our annual Lakers/Spurs playoff throwdown.

No, it doesn't change all that. But.....and I simply cannot let this go. There is nothing corny about Chaps or Spurs or Cowboys. You are obviously very bitter about not being a Texan. That's okay. This is not the first time I've encountered this type of jealousy.

LOL. They have horses in Arizona, too. Lots of 'em. Too many of 'em. And I'm from Alabama. I'm jealous of people from northern states whose family trees branch.

new name for Suns

Actually, they were called the Dallas Chapparels. And yes, that is a perfectly respectable name. I have an idea for a new name for your team. How about referencing Arizona (with a simple "A") and your greatest feature the Grand Canyon. You could be called the The Grand "A" Holes !

Yes - I'm a Spurs fan but I'm a basketball fan first and I can talk Suns basketball. I've been watching the game for over 30 years and remember guys like Ron Lee, a beast of draft pick didn't pan out but was a scout's dream-good enough to be drafted in 3 sports. I've seen all the premier guards that came out of the Suns system whether the coach is John Macleod, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Frank Johnson, Paul Westphal et al.

Sweet D had the most text book jumper ever, and at 6'9" Alvan Adams was a good undersized center. Tom chambers Dunk on Mark Jackson was unreal.

Ahh Basketball...it's great!

Suns fans...you should really give respect to this guy, MIB. He's a true basketball fan and has a lot of knowledge...this is no greensborohill troll. He'll respect you right back..

I've read his posts for years and he's always been a classy, smart poster about basketball in general even though he loves the Spurs and not the Lakers try as we might to convert him. :p

I have no problem with him and I think I've interacted with him on other boards. Every team has a handful of rational people that also know the rules for civility change on another team's board.

I like the Lakers...the Showtime Lakers...I'm anti-zenmaster and feel that as long as he doesn't have 2 of the best players in the L on his team at the same time, he can't win. But that's talk for another board.

Suns and Spurs Game 5...I CAN'T WAIT. No matter what happens, no one can say that West is all about Flash...there is some physicality being thrown about and the one who has the mental acuity to perservere...will win this thing. I said Spurs in 6, but it wouldn't shock me to see this thing go 7 games.

Does anyone know where the current All NBA First Team center plays? :D

You wouldn't know that by watching this series. He sure doesn't get the respect from the officials (league).

The league (officials) have already put him on the bench in this series for foul trouble...now they will keep him out of the arena entirely for standing up and being a "leader" on the sideline while trying to come to Nash side after Horry's cheapshot. That's how you guarentee a Spurs victory on the Suns home court making it easy for the Spurs to win it in 6 at San Antoinio. Don't let Amare play.

Advantage = Spurs.
