I am going to pray for Jackson and be happy with Fox. My only worry is Tatum.

I almost hate to say this but the Lakers jumping ahead of us could actually be a blessing. Philly too... This could be the perfect setup to land Jackson. Both teams ahead of us really need point guards.

Brandon Knight is an excellent east coast point guard. :)

At four we have options, go point guard, or go big. Which way?

Cant believe I'll say it, but wish slin was here now, he had tatum number 2, bilas has him 3, not sure why some people are so down on him.

Like jackson more, but also see big time potential with tatum.

Tatum is a full year younger than Jackson who should've been a sophomore last year. It's like if Tatum went back to Duke for another year we'd compare that season to Jackson.

I am now thinking we take Fox, UNLESS Jackson stupidly falls because Philly is STOO-PID!

Philly taking Fox isn't necessarily stupid. Fox shot up the rankings...he's been projected to go as high as #4 or #5... Would it be really stupid for Philly to take him at #3? That doesn't seem like a big reach.

I like our GM's Philosophy, you keep getting quality pieces, then you have more options. We will get someone good at 4. Maybe will they totally fit our system, maybe not. However we should keep on building. I like this young team. They brought excitement. We could have won more games but we still would have missed the playoffs, so I agree on resting the vets this last season. This season I want to see how we put all the pieces together.

I see many mocks having him go at 4, 5 or 6. So you pick him at 3 and that's too early? I don't think so! I think Philly is crazy not to take Jackson, no matter what, Their health history is well known. However if Philly is stoo-pid and we get Jackson I won't complain. On the flip side, I would take Fox! You always try and upgrade your positions is my belief.

A PG that can't shoot is a poor fit with Simmons. Simmons at 6-10 is a better passer than Fox.

Simmons can't shoot either.

Would you guys pick Fox and trade Bledsoe to Dallas for the #9 pick?

You don't "always" do anything. There are exceptions to almost every rule.

Fox could easily go at #3.

I am almost willing to trade out of this draft and into next year's draft. If I could trade down, yet have a shot at number one next year, oh yeah I do THAT! :)

I don't think you are reading what I mean. I agree Philly could take Fox. I however would take Jackson if I was the GM, but I am not. Thus my disdain at them taking Fox over Jackson. Would I love Jackson? Hell yeah! Do I count on that happening, well I never thought we'd slide to 4.....

Ok.

I just don't think it's always so clear cut who the better player is. They might view Jackson and Fox as realitivly equal and pick with a bias towards need.

I could see that. Most people have the top three then a break out of whoever after that.

Celtics - fultz (luck of the friggin Irish)
Lakers - Ball
Sixers - Jackson (colangeli aren't stupid enough to PAs the talent. Fox is poor fit with Simmons and monk is my comparable in talent to jackson)
Suns - Tatum or Isaac - neither exciting. Tatum may be a decade fringe all star and issac is maybe biggest boom/bust in draft. Fox, while I like him, is just a younger Bledsoe so while he meshes with our time horizon nicely he's a lateral move (though if we can turn Bledsoe for another good asset then fox is a nice add). At the end of the day, I doubt we walk away from this draft with a franchise changer.

I would be shocked if the colangeli, who have been pretty shrewed judges of talent, didn't recognize jacksons talent over fox.

I could see a possible trade of the #3 pick for Bledsoe, Bender and/ or Warren plus a Miami pick. That would allow us to pick Fox and Jackson. That would continue the team's young energy vibe!

Then why did Fox shoot up the rankings? #3 pick is not as obvious a pick as fans would tend to believe. If everything was so obvious then why do teams have workouts for players?

The Suns might consider it for one reason. The Suns have Ulis. The Suns would have to see what players would be available at #9 though.

I'd rather look at a trade with the Magic at #6.
