On suns.com MCD interview says the eric bledsoe question is likely settled not getting 1 or 2, and how they value him as part of team, community etc...

So it seems in their mind right now fox is not an option at 4, they're probably thinking jackson option 1, tatum option 2.
Well, Isaac was the first name to come out of his mouth when mentioning the wings in this draft. Not so sure it isn't Isaac in place of one of the guys you mentioned.

Issac is the big boom or bust guy. I could see him having a mind blowing workout and working his way into the conversation

There's no guarantee that if the Sixers don't want Jackson that he will fall to the Suns. Wouldn't be surprised at all for Philly to trade down a bit and still be able to draft the person that they want.

This. Thats what scares me. If Philly doesnt trade out, I say 80% chance Suns get Jackson. If Philly does trade out Suns are screwed in this draft.

I am going to pray for Jackson and be happy with Fox. My only worry is Tatum.

No way you will get Tatum when there is Fox or Jackson there. Either 2 will be at number 4, unless the 3 decide to take both of them and we are left with Fultz or Ball, but we all know that won't be happening.

I wouldn't mind one bit if we got Fox. He would be an exciting player. If Bled got dealt over it then so be it.

In a van...down by the river.
God i hope the Suns don't take a PG at #4 with both Fultz, Ball off the board. Just ride out Bledsoe and keep developing Ulis into the mix. You can't take a PG at #4 unless he's really special and is a strong two way player. IMO

Jackson would be an outstanding consolation prize. Tatum has to be the guy if Jackson is gone.

That's what McD should say. If he made it clear we were after Fox then Bledsoe's trade value takes a hit on the open market. Any talk of trades means little to nothing considering news hasn't leaked of any trades we've completed under McD until they're finalized.

Boston doesn't really need or have space for a top pick. The chances they trade down are slim because they don't need rookies as it is let alone less of a choice of prospects. They could trade their pick for a veteran though. I agree with almost everyone that the Lakers will take Ball. If he's taken #1 though I doubt they'll be upset with Fultz as a consolation prize.

As long as we don't give up any assets or youth to move up a spot or two to guarantee we get Jackson, I'll be happy. If we could add another high lottery pick somehow I'd then I'd consider a deal but not just to move up a spot or two. I like Jackson but not enough to give up Warren and/or one of the Miami picks to grab him.

I really hope the Suns don't go after Markkanen, not at #4 or trading down or back into the draft for him, he's like Frank Kaminsky 2.0. Since he's coming from UofA there are more posters here that like him and have sort of a hometown biased towards him than Kaminsky a couple a years ago.

I think I agree with this. We need defense.

Philly needs a pg. But the BPA when they pick will be Jackson.

Solution. Trade BK to Philly to move up from 4 to 3. We choose Jackson. They take Monk or Fox. They get two options options and the player they wanted to pick anyway. We unclutter our backcourt and guarantee we get Jackson.

Win-win.

I've wanted Jackson all along and there's still a SMALL chance he's there at #4.

Of course the NBA Gods will end up twisting the knife a little more and Philly will draft him.

Just like the Coyotes getting scrod out of a top two pick a couple years ago. Two superstars in the draft, and they get shunted to third. Meanwhile Edmonton picks Connor McDavid.

I think PHI goes with Smith if his physical checks out.

If Hinkie were still there, probably. I'm not so sure that Colangelo will be willing to pay full price for damaged goods. I seem to recall he's had a surgical procedure on both knees and is a prime candidate for future problems.

I thought it was both knees as well but the articles I glanced at only mentioned the high school injury. Maybe it is in the scouting reports. I didn't want to read through them again.

IIRC, the other knee was a minor procedure, nothing like the Meniscus/ACL tear that put him on the sidelines for a season. But, like I said, I'm pretty sure he's had issues with both knees, the kind of issues that suggest early age arthritis will be a real concern.

I can see taking a risk on him and even on Giles, I just wouldn't touch either of them in the lottery. Not that I think Smith will drop that far but I really doubt anyone takes him top 5 despite the recent rumors.

For me, the worst part about ending up 4th is that we might fall victim to the lure of number 1. I'd be very surprised if Boston doesn't try to trade down. This is a good draft but Fultz just isn't what they need, neither is Ball. I think they'd be happier with Jackson, Isaac, Markkanen and probably any of several others.
They are reportedly set on drafting Fultz if they don't trade the pick for George or Butler

If we end up with Jackson I could care less about getting #4. If we had #2 pick I would have taken him there but I think we have a 50/50 shot at getting him at #4.

Philly is going to have to trade down or totally ignore their own team needs by picking Jackson... when Fox has nearly the same upside and skillset as Jackson.

From a Philly board, suggested by a Philly fan. I would do this.

ORL gets Knight and 4
PHI gets Hezonja, 6, 25, and 2018 MIA 1st
PHX gets Okafor and 3

#4, Knight, and a Miami 1st (protected) for #3 and Okafor.
