Sounds a little like 2001 for us?

Anyone else find that 49r's site confusing as hell to read? So much seemed out of context and or repeated.

There is no way the Cards go into this game over confident. We lost to them twice last year.

We are as ready as we ever have been going into a season. Remember last year we had new staff, new offense, a rookie QB, no depth and Holt playing FS! All that and we had the game won and gave it away.

Not this time.

The only way I see us losing this game is if Warner turns over the ball multiple times.

I would say if Warner plays well there is no way we can lose.

I'm just not fully confident that he will though. Guess we will see.....

There is a reason why we are favored in this game.


Our defense is suspect fellas. Until they prove otherwise in a real game this year, compared to last year BTW. Its going to take the 9ers alot more to score against us then ours will theirs. Thus we win......

Traditonally, the thing the Cards struggled with when they faced the Martz lead Rams, was the misdirection. They used that play with Jackson and then play actioned off of it and it killed the Cards.

I am sure he hasnt forgotten that, so the key is that Dock and company have to stay home and not get sucked into being too aggressive. Gore will eat the Cards alive if Berry, Dock, Chike etc dont stay at home.

Having said that: AZ 24 SF 12

I wouldn't underestimate Isaac Bruce. Old or not he can still make any DB look silly because he can still run precise routes.

The 49ers will be much better than most here believe, in my opinion. Rb Frank Gore is a beast and their LBs and secondary are big names.

We are not yet a good road team. They beat us twice last year. We still have Rackers as our kicker.

I think we'll win but it will be difficult and the game will probably be close.

Yeah. I also get the feeling that mocking SF is inviting us to blow the game. But I also can't shake the feeling that an O'Sullivan-to-BJ and Bruce pass attack means they top out at about 4 wins. Unless Gore carries the ball 45 times per game...
