If this game gets blacked out, Phoenix deserves all of the national criticism that will come our way. This is pathetic, good or bad economy. $50 gets you in. The barn holds 63,000 not 85,000. Are times really so tough that season ticket holders cannot afford a $50 ticket to the team's first home playoff game? I can understand maybe not being able to afford "the package" if you had 50 yard line tickets lower level, but $50? Sack up and go sit upstairs for God's sake. If this game gets blacked out it will say more about the market and fanbase than the team. I never thought this was even possible. In away I don't even care. I'll be there. This will be a big shock to all of the bandwagoners though and they deserve it.

Dead wrong. You don't play crappy football for two decades and then suddenly win a weak division and now expect those of us NFL fans who learned not to give a damn about the team because the Bidwills don't to suddenly have some obligation to come around. I'm a huge NFL fan, lived here when the Cardinals got here and tried to support them but learned my lesson after years of bad management and especially an unwillingness to spend money. I'm really looking forward to the game Saturday, and am thinking about buying season tickets next year (unless, as will probably happen, we lose Dansby and trade Anquan and etc.). If it's blacked out, it'll be worse than if they were as bad as they usually are.

If a team sucks for years and "fans" aren't beating down the doors to get into the first home playoff game in 60 years, that's on the team.

The Vikings haven't had a blackout since 1997. It's a sign of the hard economic times. People paid for their season tickets before they got laid off. Now that they are out of work, they can't afford playoff tickets. Quite sad. Makes me wanna buy a couple more to help the team.

This is dead right. This market is a pathetic piece of garbage and always has been. In 2001 I stood among 10000 empty seats at the top of BOB during a National League Championship Series. That team hadn't sucked for 20 years and it was playing in the last series before the World Series. The clowns chant NO EXCUSES to the Cardinals over and over again. You know what? NO EXCUSES is a two way street and these lifeless jackasses have now been completely exposed. These clowns have an opportunity to see two high scoring, exciting teams in the NFL playoffs and they can't get off their sorry arses. These people absolutely suck and they always will. The hard core Cardinals fans are still the best fans in the league. The fact they've got to drive to the game in between humans that are one thread above rigor mortis says even more about the difficulties these great fans overcome on a daily basis. The rest of you sorry clowns in the valley, go take a nap, do whatever the hell you do during the playoffs, don't come near us. We don't want you.

You read the stuff around here and hardly anyone points out the Vikings have more than twice as many tickets left. It's all, "Well, the Cardinals suck..." I watched two news stories on this yesterday and no one pointed out the Vikings problems, or that SD had to use all of it's time to get it's tickets sold too.

Several NFL franchises have already recognized the hard times by freezing, or even cutting, ticket prices for next year. The Cardinals would be very wise to follow suit. They couldn't sell out the season tickets this year and now this. Surely they can see this market is stretched as tight as can be.

Are you going? I assume not. Pretty astonishing though considering you are an "NFL fan" and you pass on the chance to see a playoff game live. I am now hoping this game gets blacked out so "NFL Fans" like yourself don't see the game. I could care less if people like you ever cheer for this team. You guys are here today gone tomorrow with your laundry list of things that need to happen before you will ever cheer for them, when in reality you never will because unless it is as simple as turning on the TV you don't care. The excuses for the market are weak and they are just that, excuses. The D-backs couldn't even sell out playoff games in 2007 against the Cubs or NLCS games vs. the Rockies and they have a pretty damn good history of winning here. Have fun not watching football on Saturday. I'm sure you'll be ready to pile on if they lose and we'll hear more reasons why you just can't be a fan. They could sign Dansby and Q tol ifetime deals and you still wouldn't be a fan. Get real. The people that care will see it. The others can take a hike.

Problem with NFL Playoff tickets is that the league sets the prices. $50 for upper level isn't a very good deal. Further, many football fans would rather sit at home and watch all the games in HD.

I'll be at the game, but I'm going to miss 1/2 of the Colts/Chargers game getting home.

You know what? Take your money, roll it up really tight and stick it where the sun don't shine. I don't want you anywhere near me at this game, or any other. I've known a lot of people like you, including some of my good friends, and it disgusts me that you, and they, qualify your fanship based on how you think a business should be run. And, like most of those people, you refuse to acknowledge that spending money is no longer a problem for this team. So, go ahead and be a Giants fan, or whatever the flavor of the week is. When this team finally wins big, you'll know you won't deserve to be as happy as those of use who have been there through thick and a whole lotta thin.

My wife and I and a few co-workers went to all of those games. Most nights we were able to move down and just walk into better seats in the lower areas.

I don't think I could disagree more. I sit in row 3 in the upper level and I would take my view of the game over any lower level seat. Been there and done that. The face value of my tickets during the regular season are $40. This game they are $50. If you don't think $50 for an NFL Playoff game is a good deal then I really don't know what to say. I'm not sure what you are comparing it to. And I'm not sure I see why missing half of the Colts vs. Chargers is viewed as a tragedy on the same day as the Cardinals first home playoff game especially with a DVR but to each his own.

How many of the available tickets are the $50 tickets compared to the $450 tickets? I went to the Ticketmaster site and couldnt believe that the total cost including "convenience charges" was going to be almost $900.

I wont be going because of where I live but I was wondering how many of those remaining seats were being sold for over $400?

There are plenty in all price ranges except $120. You could buy 8 in a row for $50 a piece.

That's the way. When you can't keep up anymore you apply some snarky implication that anyone who doesn't agree with you is some never-took-a-bath hillbilly that can't keep up with your superior book learnin. Simply pathetic.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
If I can buy a ticket then ANYBODY can. I live check to check and my 31st check was seized by the IRS. Im pretty sure 90% of the Cards fans are not as broke as myself and Im going.. I wasnt going to but in my heart I couldnt NOT go. It was actually bugging me and I was losing sleep so I said screw it. Rounded up 100 bucks from gift cards and even cashed in my change jar and now ill be there in the nosebleeds. Your right AZsouth. For some people who claim they are NFL fans but dont like going to the games just baffles me.. Thats like LOVING the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, wearing all of their clothes, Repping them everywhere and when you have a chance to see them in concert you say you will stay home and listen to thier cd. Dont get me wrong I KNOW some people just cant go, but that is NOT the majority. Dont go to Red Lobster this week and dont go see "Yes Man" and GO TO THE GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND SUPPORT YOUR HOME TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-ends rant.

Yep, you got me. I don't love the Cardinals unconditionally, which means I'm a lifeless jackass, a clown, one thread above rigor mortis and a sorry clown. I can't keep up. You win.

Kolo you don't like, love, or care about the sport or team enough to do anything but bitch and complain. If they won the Super Bowl you would bitch and complain about the way they won it, or what they didn't do for the lifeless city of Phoenix. Anything for an excuse. You would complain that they didn't donate Super Bowl tickets to kids or whatever you could come up with. Viper's assessment is dead on. Unfortunately you will be probably be able to watch the game on TV.....especially this game with this team that you supposedly hate.

You are talking to a bunch of people who would give their left nut (or ovary) to go to this game. If you want sympathy for that load of crap you dumped earlier, go post on AZcentral. You'll have lots of company there.
