When looking back at recent offseason's for the Alabama Crimson Tide, the program has certainly been active in terms of adding talent via the transfer portal, with many of those names then going on to become some of the top players that next season, as well as beyond.

Included in this group are some prominent names from just this past season's team in Mark Sears and Grant Nelson, who were transfer portal additions from Ohio and North Dakota State, respectively, a few years ago, as well as Aden Holloway and Clifford Omoruyi from just last offseason.

The Crimson Tide have also been busy this season already, recently landing a transfer portal commitment Monday night from center Noah Williamson, the 2024-25 Patriot League Player of the Year. However, which names could potentially join him in Alabama's transfer class this offseason?

Here are five potential transfer targets that Alabama should consider targeting, each of which are currently in the portal as of Monday, March 31.

Yaxel Lendeborg, Forward - UAB Blazers

  • 2024-25 Stats: 17.7 PPG, 11.4 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.7 SPG, 1.8 BPG, 52.2 FG%, 35.7 3P%, 75.7 FT%

One of the top players available in the portal at the moment, Lendeborg is likely to have interest from numerous top programs coming off a season in which the UAB star averaged a double-double at 17.7 points and an AAC-leading 11.4 rebounds per game. Also averaging 4.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per game on 52.2% shooting from the field, as well as 35.7% from three, the two-time AAC Defensive Player of the Year can simply impact a game in almost every way, making it clear as to why Lendeborg will be a massive addition for any team that lands him in the portal.

Jalil Bethea, Guard - Miami Hurricanes

  • 2024-25 Stats: 7.1 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.2 APG, 36.8 FG%, 32.6 3P%, 82 FT%

A player who has reportedly included Alabama in his list of finalists, Bethea was a former five-star prospect and Top 10 recruit nationally in the 2024 class who started 16-of-31 games as a freshman at Miami, averaging 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game on 32.6% shooting from three. Despite not necessarily the most eye-opening shooting numbers, Bethea is still a talented guard who could provide an instant impact next season.

UPDATE: Jalil Bethea is down to FOUR schools in Miami, Alabama, NC State and Kansas State, per @247Sports source.

  • 2024-25 Stats: 6.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 1.2 BPG, 60.7 FG%, 44.9 FT%

A transfer from within the SEC, Chest is likely a name that Alabama fans remember from this past season, as at LSU, the forward had 12 points and 18 rebounds against the Crimson Tide on Jan. 25 in Tuscaloosa. The former four-star recruit also averaged 6.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past year at LSU on 60.7% shooting from the field while starting in 19-of-26 games.

Rylan Griffen, Guard - Kansas Jayhawks

  • 2024-25 Stats: 6.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.4 APG, 37.2 FG%, 33.6 3P%, 67.5 FT%

A player who spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career in Tuscaloosa, could a potential reunion between Griffen and Alabama happen this offseason? Griffen averaged only 6.3 points per game this past season at Kansas, but was one of Alabama's top players during their run to the Final Four, averaging 11.2 points per game on 39.2% shooting from three.

Taylor Bol Bowen, Forward - Florida State Seminoles

  • 2024-25 Stats: 8 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.5 BPG, 47.7 FG%, 41.4 3P%, 78 FT%

Lastly, Bol Bowen could be another intriguing frontcourt option to watch for coming off a season in which the former four-star, Top 100 recruit who averaged 8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 41.4% shooting from three. Listed at 6-foot-10, Bol Bowen would give Alabama another versatile forward who is capable of stretching the floor on the offensive end, as well as provide shot blocking potential on defense who averaged 1.5 per game last season.
