73 points first half, is it a record?

WOW!!! The Hawks offering no resistence at all!

The Lakers r blowing out like hurricane!

The good things r:

#1, the Lakers have 1 less excuse if they lose to use tomorrow.

#2, the pick we will get from Atlanta is moving up. :biglaugh:

Where's the Hawks troll when we need him? I want to hear more about how this team is winning 12 of their next 17.

73:37! Ridiculous!

IIRC the highest win margin ever was 60 points (Cleveland vs Miami in early 90s or late 80s - 140:80.

Kobe is shooting 6-11 and 6-6 FT, showing no sign of his shooting hand injury at all! And consider his good performance in last few games b4 the break, this man is all about faking the injury just to skip all-star!

Nash didn't even suit up last year iirc. I'm more worried about the guys that take the AS game too seriously than I am the guys that want to avoid it.

Imagine Phil Jackson's dilemma right now, trying to figure out how he's supposed to play just his bench without making it look like he's trying to run up the score.

Bibby's already injured!

edit: As a strong believer in the kick-them-while-they're-down philosophy, I require an explanation for both of these pictures, please:

(Not that there's anything wrong with being starting point guard for the Hawks.)

this game tells me a few things for tomorrow:

1) the lakers are good to go,
2)kobe is fine
3)the starters got good rest for the lakers
4)we're in for a real right
5) and we could very easily lose tomorrow.

Never underestimate any opponents.

The importance of this game is not W or L, it is Shaq's debut. We'll know what he still have in tank soon.

I was at the game in about 1991 which was against Denver. Paul Westhead had a new system which was goign to chage the NBA. It was an unforgettable game and somethignwe will probably never see.

War to the Hawks laying down and to just quit

I remember listening to part of that game on the radio. Al McCoy was going nuts.

I remember I was in the Air Force when that game happened and didn't get to see it. My Dad called the following weekend and told me about it, saying that the local broadcasters were saying that it was just a matter of time before an NBA team scored 200 points in a game. I remember saying, "Wellll... I'm not so sure about that. Sounds more like an incredible half, impossible to replicate over the course of a whole game".
