Well, the fact of the matter is, if Kyler keeps fading in the back half of the season, can't win playoff games, and isn't dedicated to his craft, he's not worth $30 million, much less $40 million.This is spin. As Chris and I have been championing since the end of the season, they NEEDED to sign him on Day 1.
People were complaining that Kyler isn't worth 40M. At the going rate, by the time he actually does sign an extension, it will be closer to 50 instead of 40. Keim is mis-managing the player, and the salary cap. You don't think 10M more would be helpful every year going forward to sign another free agent? I sure as hell do.
