Welcome Ramz Fanz--------I am one Cardinals fan who will not try to ridicule or demean you on this board. You obviously have a pretty fair handle on what your team is capable of. You know what they already do very well, and seem pretty well versed on the direction that you feel that your team is headed. The big question in your mind is whether or not the time to make that first really big leap is now, or whether there still needs to be time for them to really jell as an offense.

On the other hand, I already know that this Cardinals team has already shattered nearly all of the beginning of the season statistics ever posted throughout the time this league has operated. This offensive line has held opponents to a total of one sack allowed in three games thus far, and yet they could add yet one more pro-bowl guard, if Mike Iupati is ready to go this week from his surgically repaired knee. He though he was ready last week but the staff was not ready to turn him loose yet. That could happen against your team, and would only enhance our running game. It is also possible that our #1 running back returns this week, and that could also be yet another problem for your defensive people. This would be in addition to what is already the most prolific set of receiving targets in the entire league.

I admire that you stand ready to defend your team, but you know little about ours. You have no idea just how many targets Palmer can have on any one passing down, or where they can come from, and neither does your team's defense. They can watch all the film they want, but this team has not yet revealed its potential as an offense.

Defensively, you probably already know what your offense will be facing, but I doubt that they realize just how fast and how deep this defense really is across the board.
This Cardinals team is a very complete team right now and is not waiting to exploit potential, although they have plenty that they have not yet used, (or needed). This team will be the most complete team you have faced this year so far. It is by far the deepest in talent across the board, and yet has pieces that are totally moveable during the game to exploit any weakness that the opponent might reveal. This is not a roster full of players who think they can do the job--------these are players who KNOW that they will, and already have done the job. There is a difference that comes with confidence as your defensive unit can attest to. That difference exists on both sides of the ball with this team. I doubt that your offense can say that now, and you yourself question whether they can.

All that said and done-------I fully expect this to be a very brutal and hard fought game with no quarter asked, and none given. Your teams have consistently played us hard, and I see no reason why this game should be different. I will not even try to predict a score in this game. I believe that it will be very close for a while, well even into the second half of play. At some point during that third quarter, your defense will begin to tire just a little. Our offense will be putting fresh players into the equation who still possess speed and catching ability like the starters did. Our running backs will do the same. The odds are that the Cardinals will prevail in this kind of game, and I do not mean to disrespect you or your team when I say that. I do feel that this Cardinals team, (to a man), believes that your defense prevented us from going to the Super Bowl last year, and that they will not easily forget that, or forget how their head coach has worked with them to prepare them for this particular game. I just find it hard to believe that your team has the depth and talent to match the situational awareness with which this team plays. They will exploit you and burn you when you least expect it, and they will try to destroy your will to contend with them. This has the makings of a really good football game, and I have complete confidence that the outcome will be a positive one for our Red Birds. You are about to enter the 'The No Fly Zone'. Good luck to you as you will need some along the way on Sunday.

I just read this over a cup of coffee. I just, I don't know. I'm speechless.

Ram dude: point

Everyone: counter point

Ram dude: you're wrong. We suck. We're gonna be good. After the bye. The bye. The bye. Watch out. Defense. We own you.

Everyone: we score. And our D is better.

Ram dude: myopic drivel

Just to have him banned :(

If we can I hope it's 50 to 3.

I don't really expect that but I don't predict a low scoring game for us either.

Respect your opinions but our offense is better than last year. As mentioned earlier Palmer has multiple weapons at his disposal to use. We also now have a decent running game with Chris Johnson, Andre Ellington, and David Johnson. Fitz is playing lights out right now.

As far your Defense. I fully expect them to come after Palmer but I sure our coaches will figure a way to nuetralize them somewhat. Bigger question is your DB's and LB. Will your DB's be able to cover all of our WR's. I am sure Rams will put Jenkins on Fitz. They would be fools not to. But then that leaves John Brown and Michael Floyd with you other DB's which I like the Cards chances there. Also will your LB be able to stop our RB's coming out of the backfield to catch passes. Every one of them is fast. You have not seen David Johnson yet but he runs faster then it seems.

As for as your offense goes. Will your Oline be able to protect Foles? Foles is not Capernick or Wilson in that he does not run that much. Also he will be throwing into the No Fly Zone of our DB's. Right now they are feasting on QB's. Three pick 6 in the last 2 games. I just do not see your offense putting up a lot points on the Cards D.

Division games on the road are always tough for the visitors. Unless the Rams can run the ball and keep the Cards offense off the field I see a Cards victory.

Rams fans say the same thing every year. Let me ask this, If the rams are absolutely loaded with talent on both sides of the ball why did they lose to an awful redskins team by two touchdowns and why did you they only score 6 points against the steelers?

I actually like the Rams but your use of "if you ignore this and that we're really good" is borderline nuts. There's a stock I follow that has a French guy always posting about a French competitor on the stock board. That French stock, Genfit, failed their Phase 2 Trial in large part because they selected less sick people for the study and then the placebo outperformed their drug with that group of less sick people.

What did Genfit do? They announced they'd failed to meet their endpoint BUT, if you remove the group of people that took the placebo and had better results, and if you removed certain locations that were "aberrant" in their results, voila, we met the endpoint and we're great. The stock fell 40% when they announced that and then fell another 20 when the CEO refused to release the actual unaltered data insisting their statistical methods were valid and everyone would see.

That's what you are doing with the Rams right now.

They have talent, it would not stun me at all if the game is close, it's a division game, the Rams are sort of in a must win not wanting to fall 3 games back this early. But you're making it sound like the Rams should be 3-0 except for bad luck and new schemes, that's not reality.

Is that what I think? Yes, yes it is. Probably. Maybe. It depends. Could the Rams win by 10 in arizona? Damn straight they could.

I think the Cards have played easy teams and, from what I'm reading on here, are WAYYYY over confident. I think the Rams have been punched in the mouth by lesser teams because they have early season issues the Cards don't have and issues we KNEW they would have, but will go away soon.

The Cards are a very good team, perhaps great, and it will be a battle between them and the Rams for the NFCW and that's exactly the way I want it. You don't see it? OK. Just watch, it's coming.

By the way, the points will come from ST and D scores, not the Rams O. Never discount the Rams D and ST. I'm serious.

The Cards are 16 & 2 over Palmer's last 18 starts... I suppose those 18 games were against all "easy teams" as you say? [emoji15]

Will Fisher be done with this multi-year roster rebuild plan by the time your team gets moved to LA?

That's a bit harsh but true.

Interestingly enough St Louis appears it may lose a 2nd NFL team and it will likely be a frosty day in Hades that they ever get one back if they lose a 2nd one.

I know the whole situation fairly well having followed the team and living in St. Louis I know that absent Michael taking over it'd of been hard to argue St Louis was wrong in letting the Cardinals go but the fact is that once they had a proper stadium finally they started spending some money which is what they said all along they would do.

The dome in St. Louis is not that appealing to me never was what Arizona built is AMAZING!

It might not be state of the art anymore since the Cowboys palace was constructed but it's going to be solid NFL real estate for probably 20 more years.

Having a grass field indoors is HUGE if nothing else players love it.

St Louis has some AMAZING football fall weather what they need is a stadium with natural grass, take a page from AZ and then put the stadium somewhere with huge amounts of surrounding parking for tailgating for gosh's sake.

They tailgate in parking garages here. Oh the humanity.

Busch stadium is killer and ball park village is cool too but they need more room for it to be a better atmosphere.

I am not a fan of Jeff Fisher I think there are better options unless you want a captain of the ship that has experience moving a franchise.

That's somewhat creepy in itself if I'm a Rams fan.

I hope the Rams don't move to LA but I would not bet money on that not happening.

The Rams blow on the road, Kirk Cousins posted a 110 QBR vs them, ONE HUNDRED AND TEN! KIRK COUSINS!!!

Last year the Rams lost to the Cards twice, in Stanton/Lindley games! Rams offense has averaged 8 points in the last 2 weeks.

The game has passed Jeff Fischer by, in-fact, it did so nearly a decade ago.

With the caveat "as long as Carson stays healthy", Cardinals win this by at least 17.

Cardinals 34, Rams 13.

IMO, the Rams having Jeff Fischer as HC reminds me of the Cards and Denny Green...their is no denying they both still had a great eye for talent, however the game had definitely passed both of them by and they just couldn't get the talent to translate into wins.

Fischer will be gone soon, however the next Whisenhunt will be hired with a full cupboard of talent and a system that works.

Also live in St. Louis. Glad to see another still loyal to the Big Red. If the Rams do leave and I belive they will the league will not put another team here again. City has had 2 and lost both of them. First one you can blame it on the city. This time around it is the owners fault.

Wife and I went to a game in 2009 where the Cards absolutely stomped the Rams in the first half and nearly Whisenfumbled it away in the 2nd. It was nice having a hotel in walking distance from the stadium, but man, if you weren't careful you could walk into some pretty dicey areas, and yeah, the stadium is pretty old and nasty. Got a beer dumped on me by a drunk lady, too, she grabbed me and started yelling that I was just a bandwagon jumper since Kurt left. My wife yelled at her, "He grew up in Arizona, you twit!"

Good times, LOL.

Yeah it's somewhat Karmic in that the city can do almost nothing to stop this one I do not believe as the owner I think or at least I believe intends to do this for pure value reasons.

Fact it's a franchise from there. Still has some fans in LA, was the LA Rams and would be worth about double if successful there than in St Louis.

So it's going to happen IMO unless the NFL stops it which I would no bet on either

There are a few loyal Big Red fans left here not too many but more than you'd think.

Interesting that you used that term I have heard a few announcers start to slip that one in. Sign of respect coming back one of the coolest football nicknames ever IMO if it's earned.

Nebraska is called that too when they are winning at least.

St. Louis is a baseball town. I lived there a while (and Chicago!) and the city and fans never embraced the Big Red - or the Rams for that matter. Send them back to LA and few will care. I was not unhappy when the Cards left although AZ screwed the franchise around for a long time. Jeff Fischer sucks. They have a good but were really bad vs a terrible Washington team. We should beat them easily but Division games are often tough and it's hard to believe we will continue to steamroll everyone. Let's just win!

I have to admit I was bitter when they left at AZ for about 10 years still watched but it was weird to me.

Then it just sort of became accepted.

Today with NFL ticket and stuff it's not as big a deal as it was then.

They are in their permanent home I believe now forever it's all good and AZ deserves the success as they built them a home finally.

BA is like a blessing from above he is an amazing coach.

I agree and they will say they are not but they are. The baseball team sets such a high bar that it's tough for other sports to get good traction.

The Blues have loyal fans and they do well but that's the only other franchise that's ever really taken hold there and that has been touch and go at times.

Let me guess, Niners fan turned Hawks fan in 2013 just turned Cards fan?

You just posted the dumbest **** I've ever read about football on the internet, and I've read Bears' fans predicting wins. I'm serious, a Bears fan tried to predict a win last week against the Hawks and owned the dumbest person on the internet in all football related categories until you clicked "submit reply". I'm impressed. If you're going all in on anything, even being a moron, do it right!

Let's review:

Best Kicker ever. Nope, never said it. I said he kicks 75 yards 50/50 in practice and it's so well documented, you must have just assclowned your reply. You do realise he a monster kicker, no? The best long ball kicker in the NFL? Hello?

The best defense ever. Nope, never said it. Donald is the best DT in the NFL right now and Quinn is one of the best DEs (do you understand my abbreviations or do you need full titles?), and the rest of the defense is really very good. Amazing in fact.

The best QB ever. Nope, never said it. Foles has amazing NFL records, better than Palmer could hope for if we are keeping it real, and he is a great fit for the Rams, but there is zero chance he will ever be the best QB ever, nor will Palmer. Not gonna happen.

The best running game ever. Nope, never said it. Never said anything even close to it. In fact, we have a terrible run game thus far. Not even sure where you imagined that. Meth? Mushrooms? Blue baby syndrome?

I have a great idea...the Seahawks are looking for illiterate trolls, maybe you should go home and tough it out on a forum where morons are encouraged? I will take being banned from here, as much as i enjoy this banter with real Cards fans, just to say, you're an idiot. A complete uninformed loudmouthed idiot and Cards fans should make damned sure this isn't allowed like it is on Hawks and Niners forums. Go home.

LOL that was almost too easy. :D I'm gonna miss that little biscuit.

This guy is not a homer. It's just that the Rams have:

The best kicker ever. Seriously guys h'es seen it, he can kick it 200 yards barefoot while riding a pogo stick.
The best defense ever. Seriously guys they team lift busses in practice, I kid you not!
The best QB ever. Kurt Warner was cut, Cousins was cut, a + b = SUPERBOWL. Seriously. Ever heard of the freaking Hall of Fame? HELLO????
The best running game ever. Seriously. James Earl Jones' voice is scared of the rams ferocious running attack.

But he's not a homer, and he's only here for friendly discussion and to tell us that we're all overconfident and that the Rams are going to win by 10 points even tho they couldn't score on Seattle or Pittsburg cuz cmon' you guys, everyone knows those games dont count!!! In fact, we should be scared because all the Rams D does is hurt QB's which is awesome and so we shouldn't play Palmer at all, he hopes we dont have injuries but seriously, dont play Palmer cuz the Rams D will probably shank him in the parking lot.

He's not a homer tho, unlike us he study's his team and he knows exactly how this is all going to play out because this is the Rams year but he's not a homer but SuperBowl Champs built to win, QB killers, crowd thrillers, road warriors, sorry not sorryers, super star honey buches of touchdows and years! Hams and Rams people, Hams and Rams.

But he's totally not a homer and seriously, he's here just to talk football, SERIOUSLY!

This post is full of win.

Why did they only score 6 points against the Steelers? Are you kidding? Can you at least read a post or two? They have a new OC and Scheme. They were missing their WR1. They were starting an injured RB and playing a RB 6 snaps for his first NFL game ever. They have a new o-line with 2 rookies. They dropped balls. It's not typical, but it happened. The Punter threw a low ball on a perfectly executed punt fake, his first miss ever in the NFL. It happened. The Rams OWNED them all game and failed to win. OWNED a team that is most likely as good or better than the Cards.

I love competition, but this is getting delusional. Cards KILLED a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tiered team. Good job. Get ready.

How many of those seasons (not years) did they have a QB1?

None?

Hey, did you miss the two wins against SB teams last season and the back to back shutouts? Who leads the NFL in sacks again? Tackles?

Rams have had deep talent for many seasons, just like the Cards. It's amazing what can happen with consistency in coaching, which we haven't had, and a top QB, which we haven't had.

Who are the Cards without Palmer? Deep in talent you say? Did they win the SB without him? No? Go to the SB without him? No? Why?

Let's get real here, the Rams are bringing the best D in the NFL. One less sack than all of the teams the Cards have played COMBINED. They held the Hawks O to 18 and the Steelers O to 12.

You're sleeping us? Really? I'm NOT here to smack talk, but let's wake up. If not for the Rams' changes and rookies on the o-line and new OC, they are probably 3-0 right now. Losses are losses, but there isn't a team from the first 3 that wants to play us again, especially Washington. They got away with one and they know it. Their fans will tell you the same.

Cards at home have the Rams before the Rams are up to speed. It's a good thing for you. To laugh and think it's a gimme? You're high. If the Cards win this, even with the Rams not ready, you better appreciate it because it means a hell of a lot for the Cards. Come the next time we meet, it could very well be a blowout for the Rams. In fact, I hereby predict it.

No respect? That's fine. I'll just enjoy the fact that reality will be reset playing a real defense. This ain't the Bears, Saints, or Niners. Win or lose, the Cards will be a better team for playing us. Better prepared for real games. Less cocky over easy wins.

4th tier teams like the Redskins who also are/were using a backup just like the steelers did for close to half of the rams game.
