A team offers a 2019 1st & 2019 3rd for Peterson, would you take it?

Not saying I want to, just saying if that offer came up on the table.

We will likely end up with the #1 pick overall... And without the need for a QB, I'm sure Keim will look very closely at using that pick as trade bait. Why then would we want to give away PP21 for picks that we could likely get by simply trading our #1 overall pick??

the question is
does peterson wants to stay in arizona or want to have a chance to win and being more visible in a prime time stage

Recently he tweeted about his respect for Fitz and admired his longevity with the Cards and implied that he wanted to be the next Fitz - aka the next face of the franchise for years and years. Of course, he said this right after the backlash which resulted from reports saying he asked to be traded before the trading deadline this season.

What’s preventing you from doing both though?

I’d rather stay at #1 & draft Bosa though.

I would make that trade assuming it wasnt a 28-32 range pick.

PP21 is a stud...but he will only be a stud for another couple seasons....if we can get strong value we should

we need an OT...but not a top 3 OT in this draft...but an OT at 20 is about right.
an additional 3rd allows us to grab an olineman as well as a WR in the third, where the value for both is highest

Hell yes. In a New York minute. He won't be happy here next year. He could get one more big contract elsewhere. This team needs to do a Raiders Gruden type construction project. P P is a marketable asset.

This will be a strange year for trading away #1 overall. I simply don't think they will be able to move it. Normally top picks are used for QB...in a pretty poor year talent-wise for QB...where teams at the top of the draft don't need QBs.

As for OP's question, yes I probably take that.

And please...no Bosa.

No way. You don't get better by giving away one of the best defensive players in the league for two unknowns. You draft a Greedy Williams or Deandre Baker to pair next to him. Makes your Dline look a hell of a lot better.

I don’t know about a Gruden-like project, but I do agree with you about him not being happy here next year. I know he said different, but I really think he leaves after his contract is up.

I’d consider it but I’d like to get a potentially good young player back also.

Say Pittsburgh offers their 1, 3 and James Washington. I’d probably take it.

That's a bit unrealistic as a team that would propose such a trade would be a contender. Why would you trade PP to another also ran team?

Which is exactly why I said what I did. No team is going to offer a top 10 pick so I wouldn’t consider trading him. We can’t find a #2 CB let alone replace him.

Pittsburgh would make that deal in a nanosecond and laugh all the way to the bank. James Washington has 18 career receptions. The most yards he's ever had in a single game is 25. You'd have to be pretty confident in your pre-draft process to pick him. The Cards could've had him and chose Kirk instead.

A pick in the mid- to late-20s, a 3rd rounder, and a mid-second from the prior year who hasn't proven anything wouldn't be enough for a hall of fame-caliber player with two years of cost control.

Are his low #s because there aren't enough snaps or balls to go around in Pittsburgh.

It's possible. He has fewer targets than Ryan Switzer and both the tight ends. The thing that sticks out is his Catch percentage (34.5%) is much less than any of the other guys who catch passes on the roster.

He's third in the WR room in offensive snaps (45.2%); it's not like he's not seeing the field.

Tough call, but I'd pass on it.

We haven't demonstrated an ability to be anywhere near 100% infallability when it comes to evaluating talent.

PP21 is our proverbial redbird in hand.

PP has some Dion Sanders in him. He would like to be that guy who gets the ink. He is not going to get it here especially with the situation the team is in now. If he doesn't push for a trade after the season he will be out of here faster than a jack rabbit once his contract is up. If he decides the latter, I would trade him in a heartbeat and get something for him versus nothing. At best if he leaves and signs elsewhere all you get is a 3rd round pick at best. If I'm Bidwill or Keim (if he is still here after the season is over), I am talking to PP to gauge where his head is at.
