Doesn't need to be the shooter

Defense admitted he was there at the end .... His actions before and after do not leave much room for doubt he was part of the plot .... Getting everyone together, renting the car, going back to his house and having the guys play with his kid, having his girl take out a large sum of cash to get one of his boys out of town, having his girl dispose of the mystery box, the image of him with a gun in his house, testimony about his weapons that couldn't be located, the shoes he wore to the murder where in his house the first time through, but gone the second ...... He didn't take a single action that could show he wasn't involved with what went down

His lawyer admitted Hernadez was present at the murder during his closing arguments. Also, ballistics showed the first bullet was fired from the drivers seat with his prints on the stearing wheel and then his shoe print was found next to the body. Some of that still may be circumstantial, but in Massachusetts, just being at the shooting is good enough to covict if it cannot be proven who the shooter was.

I saw an interview with the jurors where they said they were stunned by that. The entire rest of the trial they had denied he was even there. Seems like one hell of a blunder by a lawyer.

maybe the lawyer got to know Aaron over time and decided he is pure scum, was obviously there and obviously pulled the trigger so decided to drop that bomb in his closing comments.

conspiracy theory set.

I think 99.9% of Attorneys would proclaim Charles Manson's innocence if the checks kept clearing.

The only reason to do that is if his lawyers thought the evidence of his being there too overwhelming for them to deny so they throw up a Hail Mary and hope they can convince the jury that he was there but was an innocent bystander. It didn't work but I don't think not saying it would have spared him either.
