Action Items for Monday

1. Wilks should fire Al Holcomb. Let's see if Wilks can improve the defense. Believe me, this is the only way Wilks can hang onto his job.

2. Pride comes before the fall. If Dawson refuses to go on IR, cut him. Cardinals should see if Zane Gonzalez can be the guy.

3. Bench Andre Smith. Put Korey Cunningham at RT. I am all for keeping Cunningham at LT for rest of this season too.

4. Bench Benwikere

5. FFS, I cannot write anymore of this. Just fire Wilks and make Jason Michaels to be interim head coach.

1. This is Wilks defense. Holcomb is just a caretaker. At least with McCoy you knew the shortcomings were on him.

Wait, none of the games have been on for a long time here, so I haven't been watching. What about DJ?

Gifting a win to the Raiders who want to avoid winning at all costs. Followed by a predictable blowout loss while allowing a record setting 25 straight completions. If this trajectory continues, Wilks will be fired after the season. Almost all rookie HCs go through growing pains early on, but the good ones always show improvement in the latter half of the season, even if it doesn't always translate into wins. Wilks has shown no signs of improvement.

It's not likely that we win another game this season, given our schedule but most importantly looking at the way we play. This should seal the fate for Wilks.

I watched Cunningham for probably half the plays and I can say I haven't seen Humphries do anything Cunningham can't do. For a rookie 6th round contract. That could make DJ's contract negotiation real interesting this offseason if he stays injured any longer. I get the feeling he'll be better next week.

There is no way you can retain this coaching staff. In game adjustments are non-existent. The team has regressed across the board. Last and not least, the players AND most fans have given up.
