I'm tired of these arguments. If a player plays like crap, let's not make excuses for him. He's playing like crap. I don't care if God is playing next to him, or if I'M playing next to him. Wilson needs to play well. Or else he sucks.
:lame:

First I was talking about Wilson's play the entire season, not just yesterday (Haven't seen the game yet.)

Second. Your liniar logic is ridiculous. If a player is playing bad, he's a bad player? No other explanation. Are kidding me? Why don't we just cut JJ and Shipp right now? The running game is terrible, so they're bad players. The OL and play-calling has nothing to do with it, right. The bad OL is just an excuse. :sarcasm:

Playing like crap because the team is getting theirs butts whupped and the coaching sucks? Just wants to knock the crap out of someone to relieve tension?

A problem with judging any player on a team like the Cards is very difficult. Each players playing ability or how he looks is very much dependant on those around him. A player can be good but be made to look like a fool when other players blow their assisgnments. Our former Kyle Vandenbosch we let go last year is now third in the NFL in sacks (I think Rice is 2nd). We could have more good players than we even know about? Our bad coaching is much of this problem. I think we could easily put together a better team than we have now with players we have let go in the past 4-5 years. That is really a sorry statement to make.

90% of the players on this team are jokes with no character, not 1 brain cell and devoid of anything useful to this organization or the NFL.

The only way these jokers can save any semblance of dignity is to individually call a press conference and admit to stealing paychecks.

The entire oline
The entire dline
Huff especially
all the linebackers
Both safety'S, the enitre secondary

To trash talk and be as bad as you are is a joke. Every single player on this team minus 4-5 of them are complete jokes.

You forgot to add the coaching staff.

Ayanbadejo isn't bad either.

Yeah. Yesterday's game reminded me of the Larry Centers years, which made me wonder if we'll draft Reggie Bush and use him like LC next year.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you. It's simply the culmination of hearing a lot of excuses for Wilson's play. From all I've read (haven't been able to see all the games) he's been playing very poorly this year. I'm tired of the excuses. He doesn't need an offensive line to open holes for him, he doesn't need blockers to protect him, or receivers to get open for him. His job is to support the run and the pass. He hasn't done it. Doesn't matter to me if there's a less-able safety next to him. If he's trying to overly compensate for another player, he needs to make sure his job is done first. Simple.

Adrian Wilson makes me sick. Did anyone see him on the Alltel Cards show last week? He didn't look busted up about the teams 2-6 record at all. He said that he was going to go buy a new car and that "things were good" or better than they had been in the past.

This guy got his signing bonus check and as long as he gets his game check every week, he don't care. I said last week he should be benched. To hell with benching. Trade this loser out of here or cut him all together. I'm sick of seeing players with pro bowl ability play at half speed.

Send a BIG message to the D Denny. Cut Adrian Wilson's heartless ass this week!

Unless my memory is wrong I think it has only been a few months that everyone was all for giving Wilson an extended contract and considered it a must. I think I was one of them. Yes, he had a bad game but there were a lot of people who had a bad game. He is by no means the worst DB we have and until we find something better I think he will be here.

I was never on board with giving Wilson a big contract. Except for a few good games, like Carolina last year, he has never played up to his ability. Now that he has his money, he doesn't even look interested to be on the field.

Cut his ass and start over.

That tends to happen when someone plays his heart out during a contract year.

You want to belive he isnt some phoney who only does it for the money. You want to believe he turned the corner and is ready to help the team. We got sucked in and screwed by another mac player.

No one player is devoid of fault. This entire team sucks.

Except Rackers, Fitz, and Boldin!

Berry,Dansby,Player?

Not too much to add on there but that would be about it.

Hard to argue at this point.

How is my hunch from last week now?

I hate saying it but when he is slack-@ssin' it all over the field it is hard to say the guy cares anymore.

AND that carries over into the entire secondary.

personal problems might be a factor. The guy has all the tools to make him one of the best ss in the game however there is really no excuse for missing tackles.

I don't make millions for my job, but if I had "personal problems" that kept me from doing my job effectively, I'd probably be fired.

Same should go for Wilson. The stakes should be much higher for him because he makes so much money.

Also, it isn't a case of something he "can't" do. He can play good ball. He's refusing to play at a high level right now, and he should be held accountable for it.

"I know I've told you this before, but [Cardinals safety] Adrian Wilson is one of the best unknown players in the whole league."

He leads the team in tackles and is #2 in passes defensed. He's part of the solution, not part of the problem. Yes, he dropped an INT on Sunday, but he lead the team in tackles with 14, which is just a sick number for one game. He's a poor man's Roy Williams.

Oh, okay. No one can catch Shaun Alexander from behind. He's the best RB in the NFL not named "LT".

I dont think he should be cut ot benched either.

But he also completely missed 3 (that I counted) tackles. Still way to inconsistent. Just think what he could do if he would stop the mental errors and learn to tackle instead of hit.

Garbage. Pure garbage. He's not that fast. Adrian Wilson has what, a 4.4 40? On paper, Wilson is faster than Alexander. Alexander's game is not one of speed, but of vision, graceful motion, and power. Good blocking helps. He's a great back, but he can be caught in the open by a faster player. Wilson let him go by, realized the cameras were on him, then tried to show like he cared. Adrian is the fastest player on the team IIRC.

Wilson has regressed this year. He's not as good in coverage as he used to be, and he's not playing with his head in the running game. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that his supporting staff around him is abysmal (yes, the word I learned watching the Cards play a game), and he's constantly got to be thinking about the linemen/LBs in front of him not doing their job. As a result he has to play not just his position, but also has the responsibilites of the player(s) in front of him. My assumption is that he's given up as a result of the team not going anywhere.

Is that his fault? No. Could he play better? yes. Could we have surrounded him with competent run defenders so that he can focus on being a Safety? Of course. Stupid Cardinals.

You make it sound like Alexander is Curtis Martin or Priest Holmes. This isn't true. Alexander has great NFL game speed, and one of the reasons that Wilson wasn't able to catch up to him was because he didn't have a great angle on Shaun. That being said, that Adrian was able to even catch up to Alexander on the long run is testament to his speed. It's nearly impossible to catch up with a good runner from a standstill, as Wilson did.

Alexander isn't a power back. No one's going to confuse him with T.J. Duckett. One of the reasons that the 'Hawks didn't sign him long-term was because they were skeptical about his toughness up the middle.

Your statement about "looking like he cared" is so absurd that it barely warrants mention.

Last season, when Adrian was allowed to run around and make plays (as Roy Williams has been allowed to do this year), we saw what #24 can do. Now, as you mention, he has so many other concerns and responsiblities that he can't make the plays that he has in the past.

Which he does, 10 times a game. The whole team does.

Dude needs to get his head in the game, the whole game. Consistency and Smarts are the key words for Wilson to learn next year.

Checkmate. That'd be the job of a safety, now wouldn't it?
