Cards have informed Adrian Wilson that he'll be released today, Wilson spent the last 12 seasons with Az, he'll look to continue his career.

Man this sucks. Part of me knows that his ability is dimished, more so than I probably care to admit, but this still is a sad day. Adrian Wilson is one of, if not the, greatest Cardinals ever. He will be missed.

One of my all time favorite Cardinals.

Sad to see him go but in the NFL no career lasts forever.

If only he had gained 40 pounds, he could have started at LT.

Seriously though, sad day.

Sad day. I wore #24 for A-Dub back in my more athletically competitive days. Still will continue to.

Maybe I'll get a black Wilson jersey on clearance at Dick's next week.

We're going to lose a lot of games this year, methinks.

Sad, but the reality of the NFL.

+1.

Still really sucks.

I will continue to wear his jersey, and it will be the only one I will have.

Great player, tremendous leader, and one of the few old school football players left in the league.

Really sucks. Best of luck to him elsewhere, and we will see him again when his name is put in the ROH.

Obviously a sad day, but you have to make tough business decisns like this to improve,

That said, does this mean we have a contract in place for Rashad Johnson?

Bummer, but it was bound to happen and he is not the same player anymore.

I understand this is a business and this should be done however I will sure miss Adrian Wilson. He was sort of our Mr. Cardinal. Time waits for no one.

Wow. This is rediculous. They should re-structure him. That guy should be in a Cardinal jersey until he feels he doesn't want to play anymore. Even if hes just a rotational guy. He commited to the Cards through thick and thin and the Cards just cut him like a bad habit.

I dont like it, dont like it at all.

I totally agree...Should retire a Card.

Oh well, he will wind up in Baltimore with Q, Patriots, or Denver IMO. Could be a blessing in disquise for him by giving him a shot at SuperBowl.

Hoping I will still be around and be there for Adrian's ROH induction. One of the all-time Cardinal greats and a sad day for sure.

I think he'll show he still has some good football left in him.
