Wow. This is rediculous. They should re-structure him. That guy should be in a Cardinal jersey until he feels he doesn't want to play anymore. Even if hes just a rotational guy. He commited to the Cards through thick and thin and the Cards just cut him like a bad habit.

I dont like it, dont like it at all.

It was pretty obvious at the end of last season, that he resented a rotational role. Let him go and see if some team is still prepared to have him out there as there no. 1 - SS.

If you watch the tape from the last couple years, especially last year, Adrian Wilson is not the same player he was before. This is the time when we have to put our "fanhood" aside and do what's best to build a winner. Adrian Wilson, as much as it kills me to say, just doesn't have it anymore. He will be missed for all of his past work, but I don't think we will miss what he would have brought us in the future.

I understand this is a business and this should be done however I will sure miss Adrian Wilson. He was sort of our Mr. Cardinal. Time waits for no one.
I understand it's a business too, but feel it would be good business to keep A-Dub. I think he can still bring it.

Bidwill did say that he will be in the Ring of Honor someday and that's definitely deserved.
I do hope he hooks on somewhere where he has a chance at a Super Bowl.

Father Time waits for no one. With a new staff in town, now was the perfect time to move forward no matter how painful it is for us fans.

Good for him.. I hope he is able to find a team that will sign him that has a legitimate SB shot. HE DESERVES ONE MORE RUN!

.... and so many more that I cannot find pictures of.

- His 99yd fumble return, and 99yd INT return against the Falcons is my favorite.

- Coming home from vacation early to make sure he is ready for the season.

- Playing ___ many years with a torn bicep.

Wilson posted this message: "It's been an honor and a pleasure Cardinal fans. 12 years of heart and dedication and loyalty. 1 day we'll celebrate the #24 together."

Damn right.

We'll see who's starting in his spot next year. I'm not going to say "replacing," because no one can replace Adrian Wilson.

People should keep in mind that there isn't a football reason to replace Adrian Wilson right now, there's only a financial motivation. There is currently no one on the roster to step into Adrian Wilson's starting job.

An all time Cardinal great. Handled himself the right way on and off the field.

It has been time for the last few years. I am not upset, he had a good run here.

I am excited to move forward and see what's next. Does Rhodes slide over to SS? Does Justin Bethel push for the starting FS spot?

no need to bag on his play....reflect and respect his time he wore Card Red.

Being that we are gonna suck this year anyway, they should have let him go out like Ray Lewis went out. Let him know that if he intended to keep playing this was going to be his last year.

Let him have his swan song, let him say goodbye to the fans, teammates, and vice-versa.

Classless move by Mr. B.

yup.

my favorite Cardinal moment of all time is was on the field after the NFC Title Game when AW was being interviewed on the field with confetti filling the frame behind him, and a single tear roll down his cheek.

Sad day for Card fans. Really not looking forward to this season. The rebuild is going to be very painful.

A very sad day in Cardinal land. I will miss him and what he could do on and of the field. He is involved in his sports shoe store and helped us out with football shoes for all the children playing football at Hamilton school which is located at 19th ave and Durango.

These are very poor families and Adrian came through. Great person, great player and always a Cardinal!

Thank you Adrian Wilson for the years. Please live in the Desert when you finish up.
