I posted this as my first reaction to reading all the negative vibes this morning. It wasn't directed at just this thread, it was a culmination of reading a bunch of negative threads and this was just the last one I read before exiting stage left.

It's amazing to me that some posters get away with crap like this on this board. I realize I don't post much, but I do read a lot. All I've seen lately is a ton of whining, people constantly calling Mitch out for one reason or another and slamming other posters.
Get away with what? I haven't slammed Mitch, I like Mitch, respect him. I can't remember the last time I slammed a poster until you came on this thread looking to start something, and the only thing I slammed was your ridiculous comment that had NOTHING to do with the Cardinals, football, the game. It just was directed at posters. So who is the guy going around bashing posters ?
I was happy to find a thread where there was not a bunch of overreaction. Good talk, and good conversations. You came in and started bashing. Who is getting away with what now ?
I need to take a break? Maybe you need to take a break. Maybe all the people who come on and proceed to slam the coaching staff, the players, everyone else after ONE LOSS in a great start to the season need to take a break. Then again, maybe I do need to take a break from this board to get away from the posters that think they own the board.
Who is trying to own the board here ? You want to have the right to voice your opinion, then you say that people that have a negative outlook on the team should take a break, thus not be able to voice their opinion. Then JUST BECAUSE they don't have the same outlook about this team you say they are trying to "own the board". Seriously? Pick a lane. I figured I was entitled to my opinions as much as the next guy. And my opinion is hey, we need to settle down here. Maybe I could have phrased it better, but to jump all over me in such a fashion seems totally unnecessary.
You are entitled to your opinions. But so are other people, and you have no right to tell them to settle down. And yes, you could have phrased it better. If your intention was to say something about the fact the team is 4-1, and we should be happy and confident even after the loss then yes, very good comment, and an opinion I agree with.
But, that is a lot to try to take from a comment that had no hint at being related to football.

Sure, I can see that. How about my side ? I was tired, of people going on EVERY thread, and judging other posters. Nothing about the game, just what people should be talking about, and what they shouldn't. Yeah, you got a, "Why don't you buzz off, and stop being stupid. Let us talk about what we want to on at least ONE thread on this board. You need a break ? Then take one." Then I went on to call out how foolish of a post it was.
You apologized and said you were wrong, which I am impressed with, it is a select few that say, "Sorry, sorry. I screwed up." I have been there myself many, many times.

As you said, I respect other opinions, post what you want, but also, people are going to respond. If you put it out there, then people are free to respond. And the responses are not going to fall in line with one poster's opinion of what is "decent". It is an unfortunate circumstance that Mitch doesn't like but it is what it is.
