I'm willing to sell my soul for a title - this picture doesn't bother me.

As a representative of the horned one, we accept your offer. The Suns will win a title....and we get your soul...you'll be forced to listen to Michael Jackson's thriller CD for eternity while watching never ending reruns of Rosie O'Donnell on the View.

We think we got the best end of that deal.

A lot of people hated Kobe until they thought he might be a Suns. :biglaugh:

I don't hate Kobe but I still don't want him on the Suns. It doesn't make basketball sense to me. How is Kobe going to be Kobe without the ball in his hands?

Said exactly like a guy who really hasn't watched Kobe play. He's no Rip Hamilton, but he's no slouch.

Shoot ... Kobe got a below-average Lakers squad into the playoffs all by himself. Put him on a decent team, like Phoenix, and you might actually sniff a trophy.

This comment would be better served if you could explain why he would be such a good fit on the Suns.

If you can't see what Steve Nash could do out there when there is a guard on the court that commands double teams without the ball, then I don't know if you'd care anyway.

Kobe's actually a better player working off the ball than with it but he's had to play the facilitator/initiator role in the offense for most of his career. With a true point guard he would explode. I've wanted it for a decade now...beside a guy like Nash there would be absolutely no stopping Kobe. He's never played with a true PG other than Gary and he hated the triangle because it isn't built for a traditional PG.

Kobe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Raja.

Because Donald has always maintained that Kobe does what the coach asks of him. He's not a ball hog by choice--when he's a ball hog, it's because he was told to be one.

I'd have a really hard time accepting Kobe on the team. I honestly don't know if I could do it. It'd probably take me half a season, and to be perfectly honest, if it was a successful mix, I'd be much more able to put my personal feelings aside. If we didn't do that great, I'd be in the "See? I KNEW this would happen if we brought that ******* here!!" camp. Not proud of it--just bein' honest.

I don't buy it either. Kobe is a ball hog. However, with every play running through Nash, it would really be Nash's responsibility to know when to go to Kobe. I would trust Nash's judgment in that situation. Basically he would just have to know that when the ball goes into Kobe it's like a black hole.

I think Nash is smart enough to know when and when not to go to a guy like Kobe. I think they could work together with no problem.

Funny that Kobe avg'd more assists per game this season (5.4) than Marion, Bell and Amare combined (5.2). That's some black hole.

I honestly don't know Kobe enough to make my own opinion on the subject. Just looking at raw scoring numbers, I'd say, Yes, he appears to be a ball hog. But Donald is a big enough fan, and knows the team inside & out & is intelligent enough that I trust his analysis completely. So while I can't judge on my own since I don't follow the Lakers AT ALL, I'll go with an educated opinion :)

You can give me my five bucks for that later, Donald ;)

Not that he can't be a ball hog on his own (because he can especially when he is feeling it), but yes he turns "scoring Kobe" and "deferring Kobe" off and on per the request of Phillip.

Checks in the mail. :D

Biased? Are you kidding me? He admits his faults & weaknesses freely. YOU are the biased one because you hate him & the Lakers so much.

So what? Kobe also average more shot attempts per game by a big margin then those 3 guys as well. That's still qualifies as a black hole when you look at shot to assist ratio. Not to mention by your own admission the offense had to be run through Kobe. So naturally he was in a position to get more assists. Marion, Bell nor Amare have ever been in that role on this team.

Your Kobe love is sickening and blind sometimes Donald but for some reason I still like you. :D

You're biased in that you hate them so much you can't admit or see that a fan of theirs could be unbiased. You automatically think all die hard Lakers fans are biased.

Of course I am, he's currently my favorite player on my favorite team, but he's not my favorite player ever. You want to talk about where a bias causes me to think a player walks on water start me up with Magic Johnson or James Worthy...especially the latter because I think far more of Worthy than is realistic.

And BIM is biased against Kobe...he doesn't like him. Everyone has a bias one way or another.

You must not know any real Kobe sycophants...there are people out there that make me look like a hater.
