Normally I'm lukewarm at best about FA's released by other teams but former NY Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw may be the exception.

I heard Giants broadcaster Bob Papa talking about the guy and came away impressed. He was surprised the Giants cut Bradshaw (for salary cap purposes). They have two young running backs in place.

The reason I like Bradshaw is that he would bring physical toughness and the ability to play through injury to the Cardinals running back position that we need when competing with the tough Seattle and San Francisco defenses. In other words, the qualities that Beanie Wells has largely failed to provide.

Bradshaw has a lot of miles so he's not a slam dunk, but I'd certainly consider it if I'm the Cardinals.

Has lots of foot injuries over the past several seasons. Coming off of surgery on his right foot.

I think BA will go after Rashard Mendenhall Steelers who will become a free agent. I read somewhere that BA likes him and compares him to Edgerrin James.

Arians will pursue Mewelde Moore in FA not Mendenhall. Moore knows the system, was with Arians in Pittsburgh and Indy, and will cost a fraction of Mendenhall.

Pass. Tough or not, he is a runningback with screws in his foot who has struggled to stay on the field. He will not be cheap and we don't have money. Bradshaw is not the type of player we need to dedicate our limited financial flexibility in acquiring.

The Cardinals under Graves went after old star backs Emmitt Smith (who interestingly had exactly as many yards his last year with the Cardinals as he did his rookie year with Dallas I believe) and Edge (did not play bad and was very useful in post season) but backs usually have a short career with the toll it takes on the body and neither of these guys was the talent they once where when we got them. Backs are one of the easiest positions to fill draft wise and you need fresh legs. I can see a guy like Moore being brought in to help ease in a new offense but spending money on Bradshaw who has foot problems would not be logical in my opinion.

Makes sense, they definitely need some help at RB either in the draft or free agency, probably both.

I imagine the Cardinals will add two RBs this offseason. Look for Moore to be signed to a 2 year deal around the vet min in order to have someone on the roster who is familiar with Arians offense, can be a 3rd down RB if needed, doesn't have injury concern, and knows what he is as a player. I have to believe Arians will give both Chris Wells and Ryan Williams every opportunity to be the guy while also understanding both of their injury histories and Wells contract situation. However, I don't believe this will stop the Cardinals from also drafting a RB if a player they like falls to them. The draft in meant to plan for the future and the RB cupboard could be bare in 2014 if things don't change.

No thanks. We already have two injury-prone RBs on the roster. Bradshaw would be better as a #2 back behind a young established RB a la Doug Martin.

The target should be Chris Ivory.
