And please folks, stop bashing all Packer fans for the crap one or two post here.

AZ fans seem to be knowledgeable and quite decent, you should know Packer fans are too, it's always a huge embarrassment when some schoolboy posts on an opponents forum.

I agree though, AZ fans on this site have been very polite, that trash talk is just boring, it's great fun to analyze along with you guys. I have no interest in trying to take away the hope you have.
Let's go play the game, and yes, if we lose, I'll be back here because I know I'll not get trash talk from you guys.
I just hope everyone is healthy so we all have no regrets.

Good luck, good game!

The point of forums is to argue, debate, or discuss. My initial post, while admittedly smack-laden, held a few key facts into why I think the Packers have the opportunity to win - and win big - this weekend. Facts that have historically proven to be indicators of playoff success. If I made claims too outlandish to be considered in the realm of possibility, please let me know.

I concur. Folks are a bit too sensitive right about now. Chris, chill. Dude has done nothing wrong. Nor has bozo Dlight or whatever his sig is. Hey, he's got the thread up to double digit pages I think.

I also root for the Chargers as I have always felt every fan should have a backup in the other Conference.

Whatever floats your boat, Don.

For me - I support one team and I support it 100%.

I cannot stand people walking out of a Cards' game decked in red saying "We lost, but at least my (fill-in-the-team-name)'s won today!"

Make a freaking commitment people !!

I've got a sinking feeling that we'll lose, not because we lost yesterday, but because the Packers have looked fantastic. 4,000 yard QB, 1,200 yard RB, two 1,000 yard receivers, the best run defense in the league, and Woodson in the secondary. Our offense has had its moments, but this is not the same explosive offense we had last year and it has seemed out of sync a lot during the season. The defense has had its moments too, but the run defense has largely disappeared, and McFadden against the Packers number two scares me to death. My pessimism is tempered a little by Warner's fantastic playoff record and home field advantage, but I'm worried. If we can get past the Packers, I love our chances to get back to the S.B. Man, I'd love to hand all those cheese eating bastards a loss!

Yep, it floats my boat Brian, I never walk out from a Packer loss feeling anything less than down. The Packers played the Chargers in '07 and there was never any doubt about who I wanted to win.
But you try to tell me you never root for any other teams? Hmmm
I've been following the Packers since 1967 so I've seen some pretty highs and lows, I think it's ridiculous that it's wrong to root for the Chargers when the Packers are not playing them.
I also root for any team playing the Vikings or the Bears each week.

There are teams I will always root against, but outside of the Cards there are none that I always root for...

If a random game is on I'll pick one team and pull for it in a game, but I usually pull for whichever team helps my team - the Cardinals.

If it doesn't affect the Cards at all, I'll pull for whichever players will help one of my fantasy teams. :D

Put it this way - I would NEVER wear the NFL gear of another team. Period.

Do you own Chargers gear and Packers gear?

No, I do have some Wisconsin Badgers gear and an Idaho cap. I have more Packers gear than I will ever wear, I have caps that I've never put on.
It's popular to give Packers gear as gifts in Wisconsin, I think everyone in the state has at least something with the logo.

In most cases, lots of "somethings". I know I have a closet's worth of Packers stuff. And Fridays on campus at Marquette? Forget about wearing anything else. Streets are loaded with Packer gear.

It actually get's a little over the top doesn't it? My sister painted her house green and gold, has a Packer flag out front, has the personalized plate and a shrine in the basement. I did buy my son an autographed '96 team ball though, that's pretty cool to have.

I think we are going to lose. I'm not afraid to say it.

I hope that we don't, but this team has our number. We can't stop their short passing game, and when we adjust, they just throw it over the top.

We haven't yet schemed against this team, playing basically two preseason games. Our entire defense is based off of scheming and blitzing from various positions and angles, and even our offense uses a lot of things we haven't used against the Pack.

Two things about the Cards that I know you know...playing base offense and defense without scheming, they don't look very good at all - and they are notorious for blowing off games that don't mean much.

20 pushup bet? Cards win, you do 'em with a big smile. They lose, I do 'em with tears in my eyes.

Not on Monday if they lose, you would think they played in Russia after a loss. At least where I work in Madison.

I think GB showed us exactly what they're going to do on Sunday, and I don't think there's crap we can do about it. Hope not, but damn, it doesn't look pretty.

AGREED.

Cards are one and done. GB owns us and they can't do crap about it.

The last 4-5 weeks have shown me that the Cards are done this year.

No consistency, struggling everywhere.

Crown GB now. Go ahead and crown 'em

And I'm not joking.

If the outcome has no effect on the Cards, I usually pull for the team I hate less. So I can't stand the other 31 teams; if they could all go 0-16 that would be awesome.

I think we lose. But then I thought for sure Atlanta woul dbeat us last year. I think we will need a crazy play like Docketts forced fumble against Atlanta that resulted in a TD by Rolle. We need something like that in this game, but I dont think we get it.

I've been a die hard Cardinal fan since I was 6 years old. But I have also always pulled for the Oilers/Titans.

I don't see any problem with rooting for a second team in the other Conference. Especially since it gives you something to do during the bye week.

I've always had a soft spot for the Chargers since Coryell went there after the Cards

The Cardinals were my 1st love & will be my last! But, I was a big Raiders fan through the 60's, 70's, 80's & even the 90's. But when they played each other, I was strictly a Cardinal fan. Even today, I like Peyton & the Colts as long as the Cardinals are not on the field.

I love the NFL & for way too many years the Cardinals were mathematically eliminated by week 10. You had to have a secondary team to root for down the stretch & into the playoffs. I have certain teams that I absolutely have hated over the years & I root for whoever they play: 1. Washington Redskins, 2. Pittsburgh Steelers, 3. Denver Broncos (Hated Elway because he stiffed the Baltimore Colts), 4. Dallas Cowboys (Only since Jones bought the team. I liked them early on, because Landry & Brandt were classy).
