Why would I be jealous of a team that has lost two straight playoff series against us?

he's a front runner dont even waste your time..

he prob. liked the bulls when jordan was on them.. liked the 49'ers back in the day.. last year he was actually a spurs fan go figure..

Well, I would imagine for the same reason a few posters here, have to take it to a personal level when they cannot provide valid basketball evaluations. My comment was more directed at Tree. You just happend to applaud his classes post.

Good luck in game 2.

Born and raised in LA. Laker, Dodger, Rams, and Kings fan for life. Never liked the bulls or the spurs and if you actualy read any of my posts you would know I actually like the Suns and am rooting for a lakers vs suns WCF.

I just get tired of all the ref complaints and conspiricy theories. Apparently, much of the Suns fan base is getting tired of that 10% who allways complain too.

Go figure.

That last play of regulation Nash and Diaw ran it and Diaw was on his way for an open basket but Nash kicked it out to Barbs instead, who missed his shot.

Why Diaw? Under no circumstances should Diaw be the first option and Barbosa the second. It should be Nash to Stoudemire 1st, Nash keep the ball for pull up second, and a kickout for an open jumper 3rd.

Diaw is not known as a great finisher, and Barbosa is streaky and inconsistent at best.

He was in front of his defender, facing the basket. That's as open as you get in the playoffs.

I know Nash wanted his good buddy Barbs to be the hero, figuring if it didn't work, there was always OT.

I doubt Nash is willing to risk losing to help a "buddy". I think Diaw gets the ball down low and passes back out much too often after a fake. Boris needs to be aggressive in the painted area to gain his teammates confidence. I really liked diaws game, but he needs to finish strong sometimes when around big guys in the lane. It seems like he ONLY uses finesse down there. That means you can almost guarantee he will put on head fakes and spin moves ... its too predictable and gives the help D too much time to respond. When he gets his defenders feet inside the circle he has to draw contact and try to finish strong. The guy has a 40" vertical and long arms, he needs to just finish enough to be less predictable. Not every time, just enough to be less predictable. In my recent memory, I cant recall boris drawing a foul on a big guy inside.

what killed me was after watching barbs and then diaw take those last second shots that just sucked, the first possession following each was nash hitting fading jumpshots. if he'd take that shot in either of the other situations we win. i don't get it.

Nash should be taking every last second clutch shot unless amare or shaq have an uncontested dunk. It's common sense. But it has to be hard for an unselfish playmaker to be selfish when he sees the open man regardless if its in his teams best interest or not. I think it just goes against his grain. He needs to be more selfish. I am sure even if he had missed the jumper at the free throw (unlikely) rather than make the pass to LB you would feel more along the lines of "we got our best shot, it just didnt fall".

Amare fouled out.

Grant Hill signaled for a timeout right after Ginobili hit the last shot, and the refs didn't call a technical.

I saw that. If I remember the rule correctly, the Spurs should have gotten a technical free throw and then the Suns would have to inbound from the baseline (rather than from midcourt as in the Westphal case). It's possible it could have helped the Suns very slightly, but the officials were probably correct to ignore it.

uh, why would you bold Lakers and Kings and say ok as if he's lying? They're LA's basketball and hockey teams, going along with the other LA based sports franchises.

nevermind. I thought he was talking about the Sac. Kings.

Wow, this thread has gotten off topic. Can't we start a thread about posters who aren't Suns fans where other posters can complain about them?

Tell that to Mike.

Here is why deleted it.

When I read Lakers and Kings as favs teams. I thought it was Sac. Kings. Then said ok.

Then realized the mistake and deleted it.

Nah, Diaw was open. he had a clear path to the rim, the Spurs players were heading towards the perimeter or Shaq's direction, momentum is shifted that way, away from Diaw.

Nash, I think made the wrong pass, he had 2 options, a cutting Barbosa or Diaw with an open lane... but he probably hesitated on Diaw, due to Diaw not usually being the aggressor to the rim.... But Diaw clearly looked to have the open path...
sorry, i just meant that the passing lanes between nash & diaw weren't there. that's just my 2cents.
and yes, diaw was open. but nash couldnt get the ball to him. like i said, thats just my take on that. it seemed like he didnt want to force it.
