Yeah, I'm taking that into account. Anyway that just doesn't seem like a plausible scenario.

the worst possible outcome isn't a plausible scenario? Come on, you're a diehard Suns fan, you should know it would be par for the freaking course.

If Amare is indeed traded for KG basically straight up...I'm starting to come around to it.

Why?

Because I want to win now. I think that at this point in their careers, KG is just a much better player. A smarter player, more polished, more skilled and a better teammate.

With him being even a slight upgrade over Amare, we can win this thing.

Now, losing Amare is losing a guy for the next 5-8 years or however long. Who knows how his knee will hold up?

But his ability as a teammate is lacking. He's caused some problems in the locker room.

Now you have Nash and KG who will just be the best teammates you could ask for. Like Dirk and Nash. They just want to win, that's it. KG will be hungry, Nash is hungry and they can do it.

I will be in shock to not have Amare here, but I am seeing the upside.

And we keep Marion, who will still be the same old guy, Barbosa is still here and hopefully we still move up in the draft and nab a young talent.

I'm excited about this...if it happens. I'd rather see Shawn go, but this could still be the right move.

I couldnt disagree more..

KG fades away in the playoffs faster than Marion where as Amare steps up his game to a higher level in the playoffs.. And isnt the playoffs what its all about? Plus Amare is 7 years younger..

I'm sorry Mike.. I respect you and your opinions, but here's my take.

You don't trade a 2006 Dodge Viper (one that has good gas mileage to boot) for a BMW with over 150,000 miles on it just for the sake of saying you own a BMW.

I hope my analogy makes sense here.

It doesn't because your Viper was in the shop for a year and will probably have to go back in a few more.
