I can understand the knees argument. Yeah, we don't know how Amare's knees will hold up. Thats the problem. I know you are saying that maybe we should trade him while he's at his peak. But, I don't know if that would help the team. I think in the end, it would hurt the Suns. That might be the only fator that might make me go for a trade. Besides that, I say don't even consider an offer.

If the Suns had Gasol they might get some more of that Euro love from the league office.

It's so sad that everybody seems to take it for granted that Nash/Amare combo gets a lot of done. Amare with a little room can score at will, and Nash is among the few that could find that little room even though no longer creating it at ease like before. On the other hand, nobody catches the passes by Nash and uses that little room to the fullest like Amare does.

My prediction is, if we trade Amare, we'll have no chance at the title for the remaining years of Nash' s career on the Suns. Period.

I believe our only hope is to give Amare some chance to work on other less developed aspects of the game and try to make him equal partner to Nash, like Malone to Stockton. Anyone saw the last low post move Amare scored an and1 with on Jefferson? He is gifted enough to do those things naturally, unlike Dwight Howard who still looks very much just muscling through. But if you are always under pressure and criticism for perfecting it right there, otherwise the team must go to the more efficient Nash-dribbling type of offense, or to LB drives, then you tend to rush to force things. As a result of lack of opportunity and rushing at those little chances, people get turned off on Amare's low post moves. Frustration ensues and the franchise is gonna lose the only chance for title by trading him, as they see forced to. Sad. Just sad!

Yes, everyone takes Amare, Nash, and the rest of the Suns for granted. Amare is a good player, you shouldn't trade good players like amare for trash like gasol. Why is everyone freaking out and wanting to break up the Suns when they have the best record in the West?

Both D'antonis probably feel the rope tightening around their neck. They probably see it as either themselves or Amare. Looking at it that way, with their jobs on the line, I'm putting some stock in these Amare trade rumors. I could definitely see the D'antonis pushing for it, with Kerr being the hold out.

If they're set on trading Amare, I'm down with this trade. Miller, Damon, Warrick, and Barbosa coming of the bench? How sweet would that be! That bench would f'ing kill. And Gasol's statistical production is comparable to Amare's; plus, they both make nearly the exact same money over the next 4 years, with Amare having a player option to opt out while Gasol doesn't.

We need a legit bench. This gives us a legit bench. Guys D'antoni will play. Guys that can kill beyond the arc in his system.

The season so far has been pretty doom and gloom. The enthusiasm of the Memphis players, coming from a moribund team to a team guaranteed to make the playoffs, is just what the Suns could use right about now.
too bad gasol is slow and can not dominate nearly the way amare can. he is even worse defensively than amare is too. At least amare can shot block.... gasol would kill this system, why does nobody see that?
how has this season been doom and gloom? we are in first in the west and 2nd overall, are we not? If we hold on to that first spot, we'll be golden heading into the playoffs. players from memphis are not what the suns need. we need guys who KNOW how to win already, not people aspiring to do so. We don't need to take players coming off of memphis' bench because they wouldn't see a second of time in our system. i mean if they can't start on one of the worst teams in the league, why would they start on one of the best?
