I'd hope an unprotected 2011 Nets pick in case Amare blows out his knee again or sth like that.

The GS pick is top 15, 14, 13 protected and if you don't get it by then you get a 2nd rounder! nice..

My hope would still be Beasley since I think he could put up 25ppg for us from the 3 spot and we could play Clark alongside him at the 4 in the future.

Hope Gambo is talking out of his ass about the Suns not wanting him because of his issues, just because the Suns have been keen to get high character guys in the past.

If you exclude players like Beasley, Artest, Jackson etc from your list because they might not have the best character you seriously limit the pool of players to build a team with.

Why can't the Suns get a valuable pick for Amare? If Mike Miller and Ray Allen were both worth a #5 pick, the Suns should be able to get something similar for Amare.

I think there is zero validity to this rumor (not attacking you slinslin cause I appreciate you relaying it). I want Amare gone so bad it's unreal.

My wife and I ate at P.F. Changs last night and my fortune cookie fortune read:
"An interesting sports opportunity is in your near future."
I am taking this to mean that Amare will be traded :) .

For Garnett the Wolves received Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Sebastian Telfair, a 2009 first round draft pick (top three protected) and a return of their conditional first round draft pick previously obtained in the Ricky Davis-Wally Szczerbiak trade. Minnesota also received cash considerations in the deal.

Stoudemire isn't as good as KG and he also has health and contract concerns.

That was a separate deal. Andrew was traded for a bag of torn, game worn jock straps autographed by the Suns laundry crew....

Garnett was also 31 vs. 26. At the time, Al Jefferson looked like a core player. Yi does not. Yi plus the Nets pick--top 3 protected--would seem more in line, than some trash picks. Garnett also had a higher-paying contract. Not to mention, McHale probably didn't mind helping out the Celtics.

I think Lee is a freakin Stud, and a would be my first choice.. people forget last year he was the Starting 2 guard as a ROOKIE for a team that made it to the NBA finals beating Boston AND Cleveland on the way... dude has MAJOR upside so much so, that NJ basically traded Vince Carter for him just last year....

I know this rumor is just a variaton of one that has floated around all day, but those who are disappointed that Lee is included of Williams, I just don't get it, he would be just a big of a piece to the trade as Yi would be....

The picks in this trade would probably by the GS and Dallas pick... but if we get Lee and Yi that is FINE BY ME...

I don't think NJ does this trade anyway, but for the record it would be as good of a trade for STAT at this moment as any we could possibly hope for.... which is why it will not happend

Lee is averaging 11 PPG on the worst team in NBA history. Also, he's 24, which is rather old for a 2nd year player.

At this point, I just want to see Amare gone before he blows a knee out.

Crappy trade but hey Amare is gone and we can officially rebuild into a contender than a pretender. Get ready for some losing seasons.

Quite ignorant if I may say. Fact is, we officially starts SUCKING for awhile, now the Amare trade goes through! Officially starting to rebuilding cannot happen after Nash gets traded too.;)

The condition of Amare becoming FA weakens Suns' bargaining power from whatever they have left from their sucker reputation anyway. If the market says, he'd get a max, Kerr should have given him one, in order to trade him for value! He failed there again.

Lee re-gressed this season why would we want him, Williams has a ton more upside than Lee.

We'd be in transition before Nash is gone. So, as long as Lee has good trade value, or maybe increasing his value by playing with Nash, why bother? Look at it this way: Are we in any position to demand more or get more from other teams?

I'd hope an unprotected 2011 Nets pick in case Amare blows out his knee again or sth like that.

I guess Nets should believe that with Amare they'd be in the playoff within 2 years.

The Nets beat LAC today and Terrence Williams had 7/8/8. I caught the end of the game and he had a nice dunk. I would now want him in any NJ deal, certainly more than a tweener guard in Lee.
