Amare has had another minor set back, Phil Weber was being interviewed by dickley and molester boy and said he has some swelling in his right knee.

I fear we are headed for another scope, although I am just specualting.

Well if it needs to be scoped do it now. My guess is that there is some scar tissue causing the swelling, or it could be Amare pushing himself too hard. Hope it's nothing too serious.

At this rate, I can foresee the possibility of a future where it's just over. We're paying max money to a guy who's never going to play again. Man, what a snakebit franchise. This could be Bo Jackson bad. One of the most tragic injury stories in the history of sports.

The rumored draft day deal, Amare for Gasol plus a first, looks good right about now. (I know, I know. Gasol has a broken ankle.)

D'antoni said that he laughed, said no, and hung up the phone.

Don't know how much truth there is to this rumor or how bad Amare's knees are but looks a lot like he's headed the Kenyon Martin way.

I remember D'antoni commenting on it during a radio interview, so I'm pretty sure that it was a legit rumor. I'm just hoping that Amare can come back and be even 80% of what he was.

you try to stay positive about the situation and hope for the best but DAMN!DAMN! AND DAMN! its freakin' ridiculous man! pieces are pretty much in place to make a serious run and then this. some good fortune for one season is all we want. is that too much to ask?

we should be good if he can come in sometime after the All Star break and play a few spurts per game totaling say 15 mins. But this is where the gamble of going into the season with 2 gimpy bigs exposes the Suns. Hopefully, they can work some trade in mid season to get a big from a team like Denver that is bursting at its seams with bigs.

its a freaking knee scope, and Weber also said that that knee is structurally sound. not that serious. if this was a scope of his left knee (the micro-fracture knee) then i'd be worried. but its not, so i'm not.

BTW....Treesquid, you forgot to mention a little bit of positive from the article. Amare is dunking from 6ft out on his LEFT leg and that he is having no issues with that knee what-so-ever.

you're right, the internet is serious business.
treesquid, I don't understand one thing... your posts are (usually) pithy 1-3 liners. But why that essay of a signature? I've tried reading it in its entirety afew times, but not once have I been able to sustain interest to go past the 3rd line.

It needs work dude!

I truly believe God made Matt Leinhart fall to number 10 as makeup to Phoenix sports fans for what he did to Amare.

I wasn't expecting much from Amare this season before this news so this doesn't really come as a shock to me - better to have low expectations with a guy coming off micro-fracture AND another surgery on the knee to boot.

We argue a lot cheese, but the above line from your post is an instant classic.

aargh! Matt Leinart to the Cards doesn't help me in anyway!
I'm only a Suns fan.

In football, I root for the Bengals !

:newcards: :gun:

who-dey!

In any case I don't care too much for football. Dang! My basketball teams aren't in the best shape -- my college basketball team (Cincinnati Bearcats) are in reconstruction mode, thanks to the f**ed up new President who messed the program up last year,
Suns on the other hand always seem so close, yet so far. And Nash is in his twilight years..boo hooooo

I truely believe there is some merit to this line of thinking. Good point.

I was going to post something when the thread first came out about the doom and gloom that was to follow the news about Amare. I knew the worry anything Amare injury can bring.

I hope Amare is good to go, but even if he's not, we still have a great team. I'm glad the team won't just say "We're done" in regards to Amare injuries.

We got farther than expected last year without him, and this year will be no different.

I'm staying on the cliff watching you guys jump:)

well that sucks cause we didn't win a title this year. I think we're ALL hoping this year WILL be different, but maybe that's just me.

Again, better to go in with low expectations guys - always better to be pleasantly surprised than devastated.

This is ridiculous. There's obviously reason to be concerned, but there is still a long time to go, and it should be reiterated that it is not the microfracture knee that is having the problem.
