After watching this movie, I would have to agree with Mulli. I think Del Toro would have been great in the role. (That's no knock on Crowe though.)
I thought it was good. Like a few who already stated it, I thought it was a little long, though I did watch the extended version. Pretty interesting to see how that all worked out at the end. I'll have to read that interview with Lucas when I have more time. I'm interested in what he has to say.

I didn't think the movie played up that part of the character all that much, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

They should have called it American Gangstah. It would have done much better at the box office if they had.
Co-sign. I totally got the "we're trying to make a Scarface for the next generation. I liked it, but really didnt love it.
I think "The Wire" has ruined me.
