As I suspected with such a limited plot, they are going all "Lost" with their character back stories. That's just fine with me. This show is starting to hit its stride.

Love that Tim Minear (co-producer/director of the Halloween episode) is putting quality stuff on TV again! The guy knows how to do horror/mystery.

So, here's an idea for what they could do to keep the show fresh and make it last multiple seasons:
Why not just kill the Harmons at the end of the season and then make them come back as ghosts next season. This way you keep current cast while introducing new characters (future residents). They could keep doing that each season or so. This way you also avoid the "why would anyone continue to live in a haunted house after all that's happened" plot hole.

I was a little disappointed with this weeks episode. There's a little too much killing and there is too much clarity in the ghosts' back-stories and appearances. Mystery and the unknown creates suspense that makes a good horror story. Seeing the ghosts so clearly, especially all congregated in the basement was a let-down. I'm not sure that somone needs to die every episode either. Still like the show and where it's heading though.

Gotta love how they're mixing true events ( Black Dahlia) into this show. Every time I want to stop watching, they pull me back in. I don't watch too many shows but this one is really surprising me.

Unfortunately the creators have a history of starting really strong and then derailing pretty quickly. The more characters they introduce, the more likely it is that they will lose control of a tight central narrative.

I am hoping they keep a good thing going here.

I can't believe nobody is talking about this week's episode.

I feel like an idiot now, but I was blind-sided by Violet being dead. I can't believe I didn't figure it out especially after she couldn't leave the house. I thought Tate was trying to control her.

I finally watched it on DVR late last night. Unfortunately, I had read user comments on EW.com and they had been predicting this twist for a couple of weeks.

Didn't make the reveal any less shocking to me, though. It was brutal and now they have me hooked to see how everyone else finds out/reacts. The other goodie in this episode was that daddy Harmon now knows what really happened to his wife, and who is responsible...

Apparently there are 2 more episodes this season. Should be a fun ride.

1 down, 2 to go? As I suggested earlier, if the whole family was killed off that would open up the house for new people to move in. Although there's already too many characters as it is.

Crap...I didn't see that coming either. Pretty big development.

I started watching the show for Kate Mara.

Stayed for the creepy awesomeness. It is entertaining for sure.

I didn't see it coming before the episode, but the boyfriend's body couldn't have been down there, so I started to suspect early in the episode. When the 'pact' was suggested, I had it for sure. Great stuff!

That's what I thought I was going to see. I thought I was going to see a pile of bodies.

Another solid episode.

I knew Vivian was going to die as soon as she went into labor. I liked how they tied every ghost into the birth of the babies from the doctor and nurses to the twins who vandalized the car. I now have even more questions about Tate and I have no clue what is going to happen next.

I'm pretty sure that cheese knew her particular 'problem', so I'll answer with a spoiler of my own :D

Everyone else cannot leave the house. As far as I can remember, only Tate has been able to do so. Yes, ghosts can walk the grounds, but I don't think they've left the gate, outside of Tate. Didn't Hayden seduce the neighbor guy from the property? This just leaves more questions about Tate. Myself, I feel that he was probably a sweet but impressionable boy without any kind of mental filters to help him cope, and the evil possessed him. I think it still does, and it often dominates his personality. He still has that sweet side, as we've seen, but his mind is so fragile he cannot even admit that he went on that killing spree whilst alive.

She's dead. Did you miss that episode?

the dead people have left the house as well. Tate was at the beach with her when all the dead students showed up, right?

That was Halloween when the dead can walk amongst the living. They addressed it in so many words. That is the only night the ghosts can leave the house. If you recall, the maid went to visit her mother, Tate went to the beach, and the gay guy went out carousing. Hayden also left the house in the security guy's car that night, but disappeared inexplicably at dawn. They were all seen coming home at dawn the next morning as well.
