"It was supposed to be Tony Bennett week at 'American Idol,' but he pulled out of tonight's show. His publicist said he had the flu, but the rumor is, he actually came down with a nasty case of Sanjayarrea." - Jimmy Kimmel

I caught a bit on Leno I think, last night, where they had the chick who was voted off and the Oak Ridge Boys. The chick was asked questions like that Geico commercial, and they sang interpretations of her answers. A question asking something like whether she felt she should have been voted off or was there people who should have gone before her...she says "no, everyone left is great and I love them all. Then the oakridge boys sang "Sanjaya" to the tune of "Elvira" and she makes a cute "oops, did I say that face." I seriously laughed at that...well played.

I think this is actually them...sounds just like them and how they did it last night, but last night they only sang the Sanjaya part, not the rest.

Then they sang the actual Elvira song afterwards....ooom pappa ooom pappa maow maow...

lol.. i dont have enuff words to describe this kinda of behavior anymore..

I figured out why I do it. I do it because many of my favorite shows were put on hiatus because the network was too scared to go head to head with Idol. AI could stand to lose it's strangle hold on the masses of asses, by any means necessary.

maybe you should complain to the other networks for trying to compete with AI instead.. im sure if how i met your mother were as popular as AI youd have no problem with other shows going on hiatus.. i swear some peoples reasonings are just, well.............

if you notice, i only speak up for AI when people are trying to bring it down.. Ive never understood that mentallity.. sure, not everyone is gonna like the same things, but why try and destroy it for those that do? if anything, look at how much violence is on tv and how you wouldnt want kids to watch it.. but AI is the evilness that will kill everything? get real.. chill out..

i actually like the program and have no problem with this - if he actually does go far I think it will only make them more selective in who they advance to the voting stage and the show better

however, i don't think this is any different than in years past when less talented people have advanced a good deal - i don't think sanjaya is any worse than kevin covais or john stevens and they didn't generate this much controversy

Who was the first girl that sang last night? She's pretty good. What song did Sanjaya sing last night?

I don't really care much for Doolittle. She does have a great voice, but can she please stop looking surprised that people cheer for her after she sings. Last night was one of her worst performances for me, she seemed much older than she is, just kinda stood around too much for my taste. That being said, she has a great voice and will probably be a successful artist. I'm rootin' for Jordin.

Sanjaya makes it to another round. I would love to see him win so then Simon would have to quit.

 I wondered if my response sounded too much like him. I do tend to agree with him probably more than 50% of the time. Sometimes, he seems like the only one who is giving an honest evaluation. Either that, or I am just a miserable person also, I guess.
