Eh, AI made a LOT of money off of Sanjaya, as did other fringe hanger-oners (Stern, VFTW, Clairol, etc). And Sanjaya himself will make some money off of this if he is smart. $15 mill - no chance, IMO. But several mill, sure.

i think it's more of an east coast thing with Stern - I can say for a fact that he's had a large impact in NY - even influencing laws from his run at governor

That's not the point. I do feel (especially without Stern) that radio content is getting "watered down" for lack of a better term.

You may not like him, but Stern single-handidly changed the landscape of radio. If you enjoy morning shows and modern talk radio formatting, thank Stern.

I personally listen to a local morning show (103.9 fm) and find it is much better than stern ever was.
