I dont know about his pass protection , (didn't know about Massie's either) but he would probably be our best run blocker , and we need to improve the run game .

Of course not, you laid some of the biggest holes ever in your career big O for the run and Terry Metcalf thanks you :)

Of course he wanted the starting gig to prove his worth going into next year's free agency. Humphries starting at RT seems a done deal now. I think Keim will bring in a cheap veteran swing tackle in the mold of Sowell just in case. Watford will back up both RT and RG and Humphries will back up Veldher.

Funny thing. When smith visited Minnesota he told them he would visit Arizona and get back to them. Arizona had no idea he was coming on a visit, so he went back to Minnesota for $1 m guaranteed only.

It was reported here on 100.3 FM the fan, but I couldn't find a link to it anywhere. I heard it talked about Friday morning and didn't think it was much, but I heard the same thing this morning on the radio. I don't know if it's true or not, but it would make sense since the cardinals were focused on Evan Mathis' deal and never took the time to try and sign smith as well. He signed a 1 year $1m contract with $3m in incentives and will be battling with two other players to start. Not exactly an bank breaking deal, so it could be true. Just thought it was kind of funny and I've never heard of anything like that.

Not sure how i feel about this. Obviously anything to keep Palmer upright is a plus however a RT is not going to put us over the top, improving the defense is the only thing that will.

Too much money, im sure hes looking for a long term deal. How much can Cards have invested in Oline?

Palmer's first knee injury was a dirty hit, The one with the Cards was non contact...
Short of covering him with bubble wrap, neither one of his knee injuries would have been avoided with the most stout OL ever.

I want to see the guy protected at all costs, make no mistake... But we have other needs to address WAY before this (IMO)
Glad we didn't dump $$ here.

Keim confirmed during his Jones press conference that they had no plans to host Smith or Leon Hall. Said it was over zealous media that promoted the false story. FWIW
