That's nice considering there are only 332 teams that play Division I basketball.

WizardOfAz said:That's a joke right?
If I thought for a second that's who ASU was trying to schedule, I'd let this issue go. They have made such a mockery of scheduling in Tempe, they are actually ducking regional teams that would play them in order to schedule Farligh Dickenson and Delaware State!

Dback Jon said:Yup - last time NAU played in Tempe, we won by 20. ASU hasn't played us since.
Dback Jon said:ASU does have a good game tonight - Santa Clara. Santa Clara is 7-4, and earlier gave North Carolina their only loss.
MaoTosiFanClub said:ASU should win. Santa Clara was basically playing a home game and beat a North Carolina team that was on it's way to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational. That's the epitome of a trap game. And UNC was playing without Ray Felton. But it is going to be funny hearing ASU fans saying nonsense along the lines of "we beat Santa Clara and they beat UNC so we should be ranked."
I think if anyone wants to go to the game, can't you still get in for free with canned goods or something like that?![]()

7 in a row now. Last time we did that was '80-81 season.![]()

Does ASU have 0 chance to beat UA just like you guys had 0 chance to beat us in football? Stop being a bunch of hypocrits. You should want us to be 11-1 when we come in to Tucson.
NickelBack said:The thread was started to call attention to the routinely poor quality of ASU basketball's schedule, not to compare the ASU and U of A programs.
Not really the same league
Welcome to an Arizona State nightmare. The football team is humiliated. The alumni are seething. And now everyone has to pay attention to basketball season, where the difference between two rivals is again painfully obvious.

Nobody denied the fact that there's a possibility that ASU will beat UofA. You put one of the best players in the country in a game and he can win it against any team no matter how weak his surrounding cast or coaching staff is. I'll admit there's a chance ASU and UA split this year because of UA's streakiness and sometime laziness as well as ASU having Diogu. Then all the ASU fans will say all this nonsense about the gap between the two schools closing and how ASU could take over UA as the premier basketball program in the state.sundevilscott said:Did you UA fans not watch the football game in November or the NE, MIA game?
