What company does he keep? The article states who Rosenholdout's clients are, but no mention of Quans' company.

Behaving badly because he didn't show up for vol. camp? plse

The ONLY thing important in that article:

Boldin is under contract for three more seasons. Despite rumors of teams looking to deal for Boldin, the Cards said earlier this offseason they had no interest in trading the two-time Pro Bowler, and Boldin said at minicamp he didn’t want to be traded.

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who skipped all four weeks of the Cardinals’ voluntary organized team activities as he seeks a new contract, said Friday he wasn’t sure if he would be attending training camp.
“I honestly can’t say at this point,” Boldin said in a text message.
Okay, Now he is starting to piss me off... Come on Q, we all know that you are worth a lot, but you did sign a contract. Play it, the team is dealing in good faith with you and will get something worked out.

As much as the Fitzgerald situation seems like bunk, the fact of the matter is he was dealing with a 1st rd. contract that had 1st rd. escalators/benchmarks that he met. You dealt off a later round contract, outperfomed it by miles and were more than happy to sign the new one. I understand that you are the best receiver on the team, but the situations are still not comparable. You will be paid, you will.

As for Dockett, he can kick rocks! Dockett, you signed a new contract 1 YEAR AGO! FCOL!

Why is it that every time our team seems to be turning the corner, either everyone gets injured or greed screws everything up!? This is freaking unbelieveable.

Rosenhaus is a POS scumb sucking, bottom dwelling, gutter rat that is out to milk the system and screw the fans because he is such a greedy bastard. You get your players new contracts and then want them ripped up one and two years later. God, I hate him...

Skkorp,

A story like this about Boldin just won't get much of a reaction. Now, if this was about Fitz, we'd have thirty posts calling him a selfish POC within an hour. That's just how it is. "See no evil"....

Personally, I find it upsetting that Anquan would take such a stance. Don't get me wrong, he's still a great player, I'm still glad he's a Cardinal, I just wish he had a different stance on his contract. He signed the deal, he should honor his word and give his all to the team. The team has said they want to get him a new contract and they will. He deserves one, and the team will honor that, but he needs a more "team oriented" attitude. Letting the team focus on Dansby first to get him locked up is the best thing for the team, and he needs to realize this. I'm not going to say he's more or less selfish then Fitz, I won't get into that, but I'll say that as a whole, I find the entire trend troublesome. It seems more and more common that players are spending too much time worrying about how much other players make, and not enough time worrying about themselves and their own game.

In the end, I think Quan will get his new deal, he'll just be unhappy for a season or so till the team has the money to give him. I have a hard time feeling sorry for him, the guys a multi millionaire. Suck it up and play some football.

I'm one of the biggest supporter in this forum when it comes to Anquan but he just needs to show up and get back to the probowl, just show up and stop airing out your frustration about your contract.

My guess is that he'll be in camp. My inclination is to side with the team, but I can see that the Front Office must take some of the blame. First they say they want to work out a new deal for Anquan, HOWEVER we can't do that until we get a deal done with Dansby. And unfortunately by the time that never happens, the season will be over. About a month ago Dallas got deals done with a "ton" of players, at the same time. Mr. B, Michael and Rod have to learn how to chew gum and walk down the street at the same time.

Just to show how odd it is for players to miss every single OTA. And we have had our fair share of contract struggles with players. Boldin and Dockett are only the second and third players to miss every single OTA since the 2001 offseason. The only other player to do it over the last 8 years - Troy Hambrick.

Whisenhunt did interviews on all of the local radio stations the last day of OTA's. Mj and Bickely, Gambo and Ash, and a few others. Actually was able to listen to all of them. Said pretty much the same thing in all of the interviews but Gambo and Ash actually had one different and interesting question that Whisenhunt had a surprisingly honest answer to. He was asked of Boldin missing 4 weeks of OTA's if it hurts his ability to be a leader? Whisenhunt stated - "Speaking in terms of a player he knows first hand having been a player himself that all players know exactly who is there and who is not there sweating and working theire butts off every day. The players do notice it. They (Meaning Boldin and Dockett) can and will still be leaders in terms of play on the field but it is going to be really hard for them to stand up in front of a room and be taken seriously.

He also stated that they inserted a lot of new stuff in the offense and defense, schemes, plays, situational stuff, and so on, Boldin and Dockett will be playing catch up for the rest of the season because he is not going to go back and stop the progress of the others, moving on to other things and keeping to his schedule. Apparently they installed a lot of redzone and 2 minute drill items during these OTA's.

Last thing that jumped out to me and was susprised that Whisenhunt actually said this publicly and is a very damning statement when asked about Boldin and Dockett, he stated, the guys on this team have been telling him that they aren't worried about it because they can win without them, if they are there cool, if not, oh well.

joe, thanks for mentioning all that. I heard the same interviews and wanted to add a few other things Whisenhunt said.

When asked about who had improved the most so far, on both offense and defense, Whisenhunt mentioned four guys.

Ken said, taking the whole off-season period into account, from the start of voluntary workouts to the last mandatory session this week (about 17 weeks), Steve Breaston, Levi Brown, Antrel Rolle and Matt Ware stood out consistently.

Breaston -- upper body weight gain and strength; very good technical improvement in running patterns and making cuts; grasp of playbook; consistently good pass catching.

Brown -- most improved player; in much better shape; much quicker and better technical footwork; confident now.

Rolle -- taking to the position switch very well; understanding the schemes quickly.

Matt Ware -- in shape and doing everything right; good reads, quick to react, very nice option now at FS.

suprised as you are, but not disappointed. Thanks to coach Whis,I think for the first time ever, this team is moving in the right direction. I hate to say this, but Boldin is being a punk. The Cards have always been good to Boldin, and this is how he shows his gratitude. I just dont understand. Next season could be the biggest season in the history of the ARIZONA Cardinals.......But he does not care......and thats the el capitan? Boldin is my favorite player on this team, and it sucks to say this,but........I want to trade him.....I think......Yes, I do

On a side note

Could it be possible for the NFL to ban Drew Rosenhouse????? Every offseason he has more then 3 or 4 clients doing this. And this asking for a new contract after one season stuff has to stop.

Selfishness at it's finest.

Yeah, it ranks right up there with letting your team lose one of it's top defenders because you dragged out contract negotiations.

Who?

Pace? That can be argued.

What can't be argued? Boldin is not acting like a captain, and personally, I think this sub-average play last year was not enough to warrant a new deal. But the Cardinals did offer him a new deal anyway. Which he told the team to hold off on. Which the team did, and now Boldin is pissed cause he doesn't have a new contract.

This is a stupid situation, and Boldin is following the words of the madman that is Drew R. Boldin SHOULD be leading this team and looking towards the playoffs.

Instead he is still talking about money that this team was prepared to offer him 6 months ago., and he rejected.

Pure selfishness at its finest. If it was not for the fact that I think our defense is going to be something to watch this year, I would be throwing a major league _____ fest right now. But if Boldin wants to pull a TO/ChadJohnson, and start whining then karma will deal with that. It always does.

Just another thing to like about Coach Whisenhunt, he is always looking forward and focused upon those things within his control. Not wasting energy on things out of his control.

Boldin and Dockett not in camp, certainly it concerns him. But I would bet he never so much as broached the subject with the team. Instead focusing on those players that did turn out.

Would have liked to see Leinart's name among this group.

But perhaps Whiz figures that Leinart already gets enough individual attention and he would rather spread the love...

Rolle is going to have a monster, monster season.

I can't wait to wear my Tecmo Rolle shirt.

And ignore whatever Gee posts about wearing colors blah blah.

I am hoping Dockett will keep pouting on the sidelines.

I want to see Campbell play asap.

Heck I wanna see the whole defense play. I can't wait.

Why should the NFL ban Drew? It is the players that hire him and let him do what he does. We need to stop blaming this stuff on the agents who are just doing there jobs and start blaming the players who employee the agents. The agents are just the employees.

The Fitz negotiation did not stop use from re-signing Pace. Pace wanting and getting over 20 mill in guaranteed money for absolutely no good reason what so ever, did. No matter what happened with Fitz we were not going to pay Pace what the Jets paid him and he was going to be on another team no matter what.
